Thanks Deb, that would be actually easier the Patio instead of climbing up and down those stairs especially that it can take me at least 5 min dressing my son and I to get Sumo outside and within those minutes Sumo will have plenty of time to make a mess indoor!

Mom always used newspapers and there was no way I would pay $50 for a box of puppy pads when I get newspaper for free twice a week and those puppy pads are not even good. I am actually thinking on moving again in July to a better apartment cause of my neighbors downstairs. They have 2 Pomeranian and those 2 keeps on barking like crazy! One morning, I was bringing Keyven to the bus with Sumo and on my way back home her two poms wouldn't stop barking at me and Sumo and when I get closer to the owner and ask why she let's them bark, she just say "It's in the breeds.." I just replied "Right and I'll let Sumo be aggressive cause it's in the breed and then he'll go after your 2 poms, what are you going to say then?.." She couldn't say anything but her damn dogs keeps waking me up in the middle of the night yapping outside!

It is one heck of a pain in the butt running downstairs with Sumo in my arms, those 5 floors are killing me sometimes! I can't wait for him to get just a bit bigger so he is able to do it on his own without having to bring him in my arms. At least now he is able to climb them up but he needs a lot of treats or else he will just stay there but I just sit and keep telling him "Sumo I am not going to get you!" and somehow he gets it cause within seconds he will climb them up!

My mom is actually taken my son for the week end so is it bad to say "Finally a damn break?" my house is quite a mess except my kitchen! Keyven can be quite an handful sometimes and each time I put him in his "naughty stool" Sumo just keep whining because he wants to play with him, it's just hilarious. One night I even forgot to close my son's door and Sumo again made a poo there but he made it on a plastic bag, I was shocked!

Hope you get an amazing week end also :)

Every Mum needs a break now and then! It isn't bad to say "finally, some peace and quiet, or some space", especially when they are younger and need constant minding.

Perhaps if you do move in July, you could find somewhere on a ground floor, or a townhouse, or even the 2nd floor, but walking 5 flights is something else. In Ontario, 3 floors is the tallest a building can be without an elevator. After that, there has to be an elevator. I can't even imagine moving in and out of a 5 storey apartment building.

Don't feel the least bit guilty about having some time just to yourself this weekend. Make the most of it, and indulge yourself in some "me" time....well, you and Sumo time.

HI there Sumo,
You are a very beautiful little puppy. I loved you seeing your first snow. Hey girl, I think I would investigate moving as soon as possible. Five flights is way too many when you have a puppy to train and play with. You and the puppy need a break and I agree with Deb that a nice apartment on the first floor would fit the bill just fine.
You did a good job doing your homework before getting your dog. I am sure it will pay off for you. I love Quebec and your area. It is stunningly beautiful but everywhere we went in Quebec, people were speaking in this language we did not understand and I loved hearing it and I do know it was French. It was fun trying to figure out what they were saying and they trying to figure out what we were saying because we only knew one language. In a shop, there was this French-Canadian (I suppose) who was picking out a pair of jeans for me and told me I had to wear them very tight and form fitting and I told her that is not how I wanted to wear them. She wanted me to look sexy. I believe I told her I would think it over, but I really do think I bought the pair she had picked out. I guess it was her beautiful accent. Now I digress.

Have fun in the snow with Sumo. Cute name.

I am very lucky to have Sumo and somehow today he just knew I needed a break from the outside a bit so he just got lazy with me and sleep on my bed all day! Those stairs are literally killing me and I wouldn't have got Sumo if I would have known that I would have been doing it by myself but he is so worth it.

It's so warm in my apartment that I can leave the patio door open for Sumo and so far since I took Deb's advice, he never peed or poop inside! It's quite funny to watch him just ran like a maniac from my room to the balcony. It was quite a hard decision on which breed I was going to get, I was actually debating on 5 breeds! A Pembroke Or Cardigan Welsh Corgi, I love the temperament but the level of exercise those breeds didn't suit my lifestyle. A Shiba Inu which I was really close on getting but the breeder tried to scam me so I ended up not having one from hers and the other breeders were too far. A Samoyed but the "singing" part of them would have made my neighbors go crazy and my Chow Chow which was actually the last of my list and ended up in love with them when I made even more research.

I wish sometimes I wasn't bilingual cause I have friends from both languages and when I invite them, well I ended being the translator! People think I speak English cause I rarely talk french even with my family. Though a the same time it's great, it's easier to find a job since I write and talk both languages. All my childhood when it was English class I wasn't allowed to give answers nor even use the class book so I was reading, playing games and sometimes even helped the teacher! Of course Keyven understand both languages as well cause of me.. I HATE and HATE watching a movie in french the translation sucks!! Half the time it's either the same voice or just not even the same thing!! Perfect example in the old Robin Hood with Kevin Costner a part says "Why a Spoon Cousin?" and the cousin says "Cause it would hurt more" or something similar though in french they say "Why a Spoon Cousin" and he replies "To give it to the dogs!" I'm like stunned each time..

I thought the name Sumo would fit him perfectly, don't mess with a Sumo.. Just like a Chow Chow :P By he way your Pug is adorable :)
