Thank you so very much for the support! I want to strangle my daughter and call her all sorts of names (selfish, etc...) but i've been holding my tongue...

Baby boy slept through the night last night!

I have to go out to clean a house today for several hours, I don't know what to do with the pumpkin...my daughter works all day so she wont be helpful...not that she has been very helpful!

Ive fallen in love with this puppy :)

What a fantastic boy, Ringo. All credit to you, Jill. You are obviously reading Ringo well and are so in tune that the potty training is going like a dream. I think you're keeping him aren't you??????!!!!!!! :D

The pictures are adorable!! 3 flights of stairs, you are superwoman! I have been lurking some, just very busy with my own dogs, mostly Ice. Glad your keeping him, he is a cutie.

Ringo's friend is just beautiful!!! I love the juxtaposition of the two of them. Ringo looks so tiny, and so cute. :D That is absolutely "frame worthy" and entirely too adorable!

Thank you so much! we love him! Still hates the the crate, but we will get there! Vet check went very well, she thought he felt a little "wormy" so he got meds for that and his first set of shots...so far, so good! :D

Since he has been "wormed", I'm sure you've been making several trips up and down those 3 flights of stairs!

We would love to see and hear from you in other sections as well, so please feel free, if you haven't already ( ) to jump right on all over the Board. :D

I have pneumonia and I just cant get well, im so tired all the time. My daughter just got back from vacationing with her Dad, I was so excited to have her help. well, she doesnt want to help and starting packing her car with her things to go stay at her Dads (her usual behavior when she doesnt like my stance in anything), I asked her to take the puppy with her...I need a break, I need to get well...all my focus has been on this baby and not myself...im worried im going to never get well. I know i must sound horrible....

Jill, I am sorry to hear about your health, it does take a long while to get over pneumonia. I may be wrong to say this but your daughter does not seem to be a good choice for the responsibility of this puppy. Please consider surrendering him to a reputable shelter. Please, Liz

Thank God for that!!!!

I just read your post in the Behaviour Section which was posted yesterday. I said in there that I was going to check in here.

I must admit that I have to agree with everything Liz said. I am sorry that you are ill, but you were ill when you took this wee baby in to your home. What are you doing providing DAYCARE when you are SO SICK??????

Perhaps if you cancel all of your Daycare clients, you and Ringo could manage. By attempting to punish your daughter, you have only punished this innocent puppy.

I'm glad he's back, but I now think that this is beyond you, and perhaps you should contact "Petfinder" or some other agency to help you rehome this puppy as soon as possible. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but you sounds entirely frustrated, and in need of rest. The puppy should not have to suffer, and your daughter needs to be taught her lesson in a more reasonable way that does not involve the life of an innocent.

Perhaps she should move to her Father's full time if that's her "go to" place when she is angry with you. Buying this puppy in the first place was stupid, immature, misguided, irresponsible and thoughtless for EVERYONE INVOLVED!

You mentioned initially that you weren't well when he came home, and yet you are still providing Daycare, which is not a good idea and is also not fair to Ringo. You didn't mention you had Pneumonia, which does take a long time from which to recover.

From where I'm sitting, it seems as if the one who is truly suffering right now is Ringo. I'm glad he's back with you, but I'm most concerned about your state of mind moving forward with this pup, as well as your daughter's total lack of regard for your health as well as that of this puppy.

I'm sorry if my words are hard to hear, but we are nothing if not honest on here. We are happy to celebrate triumphs, support one in their struggles, but along with that comes brutal honesty.

Do what's right for Ringo, and take care of yourself, please.
