Thank God for that!!!!
I just read your post in the Behaviour Section which was posted yesterday. I said in there that I was going to check in here.
I must admit that I have to agree with everything Liz said. I am sorry that you are ill, but you were ill when you took this wee baby in to your home. What are you doing providing DAYCARE when you are SO SICK??????
Perhaps if you cancel all of your Daycare clients, you and Ringo could manage. By attempting to punish your daughter, you have only punished this innocent puppy.
I'm glad he's back, but I now think that this is beyond you, and perhaps you should contact "Petfinder" or some other agency to help you rehome this puppy as soon as possible. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but you sounds entirely frustrated, and in need of rest. The puppy should not have to suffer, and your daughter needs to be taught her lesson in a more reasonable way that does not involve the life of an innocent.
Perhaps she should move to her Father's full time if that's her "go to" place when she is angry with you. Buying this puppy in the first place was stupid, immature, misguided, irresponsible and thoughtless for EVERYONE INVOLVED!
You mentioned initially that you weren't well when he came home, and yet you are still providing Daycare, which is not a good idea and is also not fair to Ringo. You didn't mention you had Pneumonia, which does take a long time from which to recover.
From where I'm sitting, it seems as if the one who is truly suffering right now is Ringo. I'm glad he's back with you, but I'm most concerned about your state of mind moving forward with this pup, as well as your daughter's total lack of regard for your health as well as that of this puppy.
I'm sorry if my words are hard to hear, but we are nothing if not honest on here. We are happy to celebrate triumphs, support one in their struggles, but along with that comes brutal honesty.
Do what's right for Ringo, and take care of yourself, please.
