Hello everyone,
My name is Rachel and I'm a US Navy Corpsman stationed in Norfolk VA. I currently share my home with a 13 week old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. His name is Obi Wan Kenobi, yes I like Star Wars a little too much. Obi is my first Chessie and my first male pup. I previously roomed with a pit bull mix and grew up with a standard poodle. We've been together almost 3 weeks now and while I've had a few communication issues with him overall he's very eager to please and learn. He's gotten a little mouthy over the last week however but I've already asked my question about that. My goal for Obi is to have a well mannered dog who I can take on runs with me and go hiking with and of course retrieve everything. He's a true water dog and loves to turn the kitchen into a puddle then try to swim in the puddle. Obi will chase any object I throw but hasn't quite got the return down yet. He's a good puppy though and I'm enjoying teaching this personable pup
