Hello, My name is Ange and I have a lovely chihuahua/chinese crested mix named Dante.
I am new to the forums and I thought an introduction of sorts would be a great way to start out.
Dante isn't a puppy anymore, but he is a sweetheart nonetheless. My mother adopted him from a Humane Society chapter when I was very young. As Dante and I grew older together, he slowly became mine. I continue to care for him, provide him with the best environment I can, and love him with all my heart. He is 12 years old now, but he still never leaves my side; Like a puppy nipping at your heals.

A little bit about my life and dogs: I just graduated from a Veterinary Assistant program and have worked with some very lovely puppies other the past few months. Nothing makes your day instantly better at a Vet Hospital than a sweet little puppy licking your face. During my months in training to be a Vet Assistant, I tried to learn and study as much as I could about dog behavior and I've been striving to learn as much as I can about the different dog breeds.

I'm very glad I have found a wonderful place where there are other people who love dogs as much as I do!

Welcome Ange! Dante is a cutie and yes we are dog lovers. Wonderful for you to work as a Vet Tech, I did as well and then discovered I really enjoyed Behaviour. Never stop learning, there is so much to learn and so many people to educate. I currently own my own business as a Dog Trainer, so keep going! I'm in the Southwest U.S., where in this world (don't need to be exact) are you?

This is a wonderful site to hear and learn about our four legged friends.
I live in Australia with my two little ones Mimi who is 9 and wee Badge a rescue who ive had for a year and is 11.
They are great company.Continue to have fun and enjoy your Dante.

Hi Ange.Welcome to the DP,my name is Richard. I have spent the last 35 years or so with mostly Siberian Huskkies.My OH had Keeshonden and one GSD....We are dogless at the moment since my last husky went off to the Rainbow Brigge without me last week..Quite a change from the 20 or so dogs we had when we were showing..

I used to go to PA for the Pittsburg shows each year,not too long a trip ( I live in SW Ohio near Springfield )

Dante is really cute he looks like a real sweetie...My grandson grew up with a wonderful rescue,a Chow, Golden Retriever mix.He learned to walk holding on to her...Today he is a 6 footer in his second year of high school and a cadet on the local fire department..he has 2 dogs and many cats...And yes everyone gets along together..

I think you are going to enjoy this site,we are here to help and add support for doggie folks in particular and animal lovers in general... so enjoy.
