Gomer

I figured since you guys started this new folder called Rainbow Bridge, I'd
share a little background on our dog Gomer.

I just recently found our records and etc. on Gomer in our file cabinet, and
it turns out he was born in June of 1992. He passed away this winter, which
made him a very old man at 15 and a half human years, which would've made
him 100-and some dog years! :)

He was a lovely dachshund/beagle mix, cute as can be.. and we also had his
brother Goober, but he died when I was still young by a truck on the road. :(
They used to fight a lot, tough love I guess! My mom got them from one of our
relatives - I was 4 at the time, and I can still remember sitting in the kitchen
trying to think of a name for Gomer. My pick was Otis, like the movie Milo & Otis.

I'm gonna try and find a couple pictures to post here of Gomer, and maybe Goober
if I can find any of him as well. Thanks for everyone who reads this!

Nope I guess I could only find two of him.. he was about 14 in these pictures. I know
I've shown the 2nd picture once or twice around the forum before!

He was a cutie! Those pictures are good quality, but they don't
really show him off to what he fully looked like.. :) Maybe I'll come
across some other pictures of him in the future and scan them in!

Gomer looks so sweet, he certainly had a long life and I bet he lived it well.

Thanks to everyone who's replied - means a lot to me! :)

It's always nice for someone to have a dog in the family when
they're young so they can sort of grow up along with it, and
learn to appreciate and care for dogs in the process. :!:
