Oh, I can't believe I missed this topic!
Ever since you shared on my very first post about Purdy, that Morty was having some cognitive difficulties of his own, he has had a special place in my heart. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. What a sweet, darling boy. My thoughts are with you RJM.
RIP little Morty

Dang I'm crying again! What a beautiful tribute and to learn how you acquired Onyx. Any dog is lucky to have you and Morty was a living testament of how love can go both ways with our beloved dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that and thank you for sharing the pictures, cherished memories.

I want to thank you all so much for your condolences about Morty. They were very much appreciated.

I have a memorial stone made for each of my dogs when they pass.
Morty's was delivered today, I thought I would share it with all my DP friends.

How lovely, RJM. How large is the stone? Will you put it in the garden, or is it smaller than that? The printing looks almost 3D, what did they use to do it?

It's a very nice idea to commemorate our lost ones.

Phyrie, Yes, it's now out in the garden with the others.

It's a nice sized stone, about six inches in diameter.
The lettering is engraved and painted with either clear or black paint.

Thanks Kris :)

The OH and I are doing ok. We've gotten to the point where we can talk about Morty without crying, most of the time.

Michelle has offered to make a tribute video for me, she's such a sweetheart.
But I still have to go through old photos for her, I'm having a hard time bringing myself to do it.
It might help me feel better and get all my tears out at one time, maybe I'll tackle that this weekend.
