You probably won't see too many Deerhounds about. I'm not sure how popular they are in the States but in Britain they are on the Kennel Club's national vulnerable breeds register.

Ill do a painting and then you can see what amatuer really looks like lol :) .Your paintings are wonderful & not amatuer at all !

Thanks everyone about the eye.Its my favorite because it was supposed to just be a study.A bunch of artists submitted photos for us to draw each other for practice.
I ended up going hog wild/experimenting because of it.usually I put to much pressure & to many I cant's in the equation.I learned a lot doing it.

Kayt you can thats why I posted the side by side one . Its all about re teaching your brain & tools that work for you.
For instance I use paint brushes for blending and some application as well.I also use this stuff called blu tack for erasing
it actually lifts vs erasing and doesnt destroy your paper tooth. You have to get it from England .

I've seen that blue tack stuff at my school. It's cool.
I don't really practise drawing much, I only draw when i feel like it.
I drew this, it's a character one of the bands i like created. His name is Chadam.

I drew this too, its Reptar from the cartoon "Rugrats"

They're good Kayt. Don't know what you are complaining about. Especially good considering you don't practice.

I didn't know you couldn't get Blu tac in the states. I'm really surprised at that. I prefer to use a putty rubber. It does the same job but I find it more controllable.

I love all your drawings!! They are wonderful.
Thanks for the compliment CDAArtlady, that means a lot coming from a true professional. I remember BluTac from years ago. I agree with Tracy, get going and do some more!! Wonderful Talent.
I'm looking forward to seeing more from everyone. ;)

I love to draw but I haven't in a while except my art homework.
I really feel like an amateur next to all of you amazing artists but I think I will post a sketch on of a puppy when I get round to drawing one and scanning it onto the computer. I think I'll draw a Flattie pup because of how much I love them or a Pug because of those detailed wrinkly faces. :)

I spent about an hour drawing a Flat coated retriever puppy :) I do love to draw. I will scan it onto my computer tomorrow probably and upload it on this thread if the stupid attachment thingy works and Phyrie doesn't mind :D I still have a pug to draw.

Right, here goes. This is a digital photo of my Flattie pic that I ended up taking as my scanner one was poor quality and speckly. I suppose I am quite proud of it though I think there are bad parts.

That's beautiful, Snoopygirl. He's a cutie. The eyes are particularly good. Well done.
And well done for being brave enough to share it.
