I Love mexican and Italian food. I had olive garden for lunch today with my mom and grandfather so i'm thinking i'll just run to Rumbi and get some food. THey have Rice bowls and stuff it's all healthy food . I get the white rice bowl with chicken and then an orange honey sauce.. Yummy!!!

My first is mexican!! We are road trippin tomorrow to New Mexico, really what to find some good mexican food while we are there!!
I too love the Olive Garden, Applebees and Red Lobster for the shrimp.
We have to travel to these places, there isn't much in our town, I really wish we had a Taco Bell or KFC at times.
We do have a great Mexican Place here.

Favorite resturaunt is hubbys kitchen lol & all our friends too.We dont eat out accept maybe a special occasion so then it would be Tonys its an Italian place on the lake.

My fav meals are Fettucine Alfredo , black bean wheatberry chili with avocado,Omas noodle soup ( potatoe broth egg noodles and german hot dogs, leber knuddel( potatoe balls with liverwurst sauce, & Italienisch salad: Our christmas tradition it is a potatoe salad with ring bologna pickles, beef, herring.eggs & mayo. I always thought it & the potatoe soup was a german dish until recentlybut my great grandma was a chef the soup is French and the salad is Italian.
Im pretty much not allowed to have any of it anymore other then the chili which is my newest fav,

Food...one of my favourite things! I cook a lot of Italian, from scratch at home. Linguine with White clam sauce, a mean spaghetti, Fuscilli with mushrooms and ham (like alfredo, just add ham and mushrooms) Fettucine with Pink Shrimp Sauce, Angel Hair pasta with Fresh basil and garlic. There is a "Mom's Monday Night Special" I created, which is usually a rotini or fuscilli, with ground beef, tomatoes, cheddar, mozzarella all layered in a casserole. We do enjoy some Mexican food. I also make a lot of beef/pork dishes. Steaks and Roasts are my meat specialties. There really isn't one food that I like especially, I like it all! (don't be going and looking at my picture again to see if this is true, just trust me!)

If I'm going out, I do enjoy Sushi. Oh, I love seafood, which I also make at home, but love it when someone else prepares it. As to a fave....it really depends on my mood, but I do enjoy spicy food a lot. I love east Indian Food. I could write a novella on the foods I love!

I'll stop now, but great topic Marco's Mom!!!!

No problem Marco's Mom...I'd be delighted to cook for you. I love to cook, on my terms though I must admit. I don't like it when it feels like a chore. I don't know if I'm any good at it, but my family seems pleased 8)

Can I come too please? I love food, all of it. I can't be doing with these people who push a couple of lettuce leaves around their plate. The only things I don't eat that I can think of are Offal, Rhubarb, Celery and Liquorice.

FOOD!! :D
One of my favourite things, haha! I'm not fussy at all.
Well, I would say my favourite meal would be perhaps Chicken Korma? But I like mexican stuff too, especially fajitas :P I am also a big fan of italian, pizza and pasta of many kinds being big favourites of mine. OOH I nearly forgot Chinese!! I adore Chinese food... noodles, rice, spring rollllls  I am hungry now, lol! I also love Sunday dinners. Yummy Yorkshires... I love tuna and salmon too.

Don't get me started on desserts.
Profiteroles are my babies...
I love love love chocolate!!

LOL As you can tell I love my food! The only food I WILL NOT eat (besides like horsemeat or anything like that) is prawns.

OMG haha totally unrelated to food but my sister just came in and told me my room smells of nappy/diaper sacks. Delightful!! (we don't even have a baby!)

All of you are making me hungry! Olivers mummy when is dinner, we'll be over! Image

Marco's mom, we are just trippin to NM to check it out. Hubby has been offered a promotion which means moving to NM. So the company is paying us to check it out first. We live near the Ut/Ida border. I love it there, but it would be nice to be closer to the kids. They are in Arizona.

I would love to cook for everyone! Tracy, virtually everything you mentioned I also don't like, except I do use celery as a base in some dishes (you won't notice it!) I don't bake...can't be bothered as I don't have much of a sweet tooth.

I love cooking roasts, make a very decent steak and if someone doesn't care for fish or seafood, that too can be arranged.

It's too bad we can't all get together for a pot luck...I want some of Tracy's Cheddar Soup!!! I'm going to try that recipe one day.

Food is a celebration and a time to share and chat and be together. One of the best parts of any day is at the end of the day, coming together as a family or with friends to share a meal. Snoopygirl, I too love Chinese, but I've found there isn't any authentic Chinese in London, Ontario and if there is, I haven't found it. I always prefer authentic dishes. Oh and I love Spanish Paella...that is to die for!

Kian I love your emoticon! Once you move to NM, I'm sure the weather will be much warmer. I'm not as familiar with the southwestern states, but I'm sure you will have an opportunity for some wonderful mexican food (of the authentic kind) once there. I always love trying new foods when I travel that are different from our rather bland choices at home.

So, everyone let me know when you're coming and I'll have dinner ready...I'd love that actually!

Great thread,........being a man you might think i would not be interested in this thread,...but as i live alone i have to cook for myself,...and love to do so,...sometimes i entertain,..and do the cooking myself,..so i am looking forward to picking up some tips.
All kinds of Fish,..but i love Lobster,..Crayfish,...and Prawns in particular,..Greens i go wild for,...Asparagus Tips,...Sprouts,..the greener the better!,...as i live close to the countryside i get a lot of wild Duck,..Pheasant, and Trout,..the odd Rabbit,..and friends give me Venison.
My most cooked dish is called Chicken Samantha.
Bone a chicken,...cook it in white wine,...add Mushrooms,...then fresh cream,...hollow out a Pineapple,...cut it in half..dice the Pineapple fruit,... add it to the pot,...cook some white rice,...place it in the hollowed out Pineapple,..add the cooked ingredients,..stuff some tomatoes,...place them around the side of the half Pineapple,..serve with a nice white wine,...mmmm,...lovely,...i say in my deepest voice,..grin.
