Huge group hug!!!!

I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday and I'm glad things are going as well as they can be. You must be exhausted this evening. I hope you sleep well angel. Everyone one is sending/thinking/wishing/hoping/praying and contemplating that all continues to go well. Your mother and father raised a wonderful, loving daughter.

I'm so glad your dad was able to go back to the nursing home. Being in a familiar place is definitely beneficial to him. The nurses sound like they really care about him, too. I am sorry to hear about your loss...I am sure she thought you were amazing,too. Hopefully you can enjoy your Valentine's Day today, knowing that your daddy is in good hands, and that you have supported him and your mom so well through this entire ordeal. As Deborah stated, I am positive that they are proud of the daughter they've raised.

I just wanted to let everyone know my dad is doing well at the nursing home still, he is sleeping a lot, but seems to be healing well.

I will have the grandkids tomorrow night, by daughter and her husband will be at the funeral home for his grandmothers showing. I may be able to post a little tomorrow at work, but may be missing for about 24 hours!! Didn't want anyone to worry.......

Linda, I'm so glad to hear that your father seems to be feeling settled and peaceful. Thank you for letting us know that you might not be around for a day or so. I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL's loss. I'll be keeping you, as always, in my thoughts and prayers! Hugs! Deborah

If we ever get to meet def a big group hug So glad to hear your dad is doing much better, finally he can get some rest in a familiar place and have his loved ones come visit often. Enjoy your time with your grandkids and kids, those times are so wonderful. Glad to know where you will be, hope all goes well at the funeral. Have a great day at work!!

I didn't tell anyone but we spent the whole night last Sunday night at the hospital again with my dad. He had aspirated on the liquid from his feeding tube and it caused some to go into his lungs. He went back to the nursing home on a 2nd antibiotic to clear up what they called aspiration pneumonia. He has been moved to the rehab area of the nursing home where he will get constant care. They have made a few changes in his feedings and told us that in about a week we will be amazed at how well he will be doing. He also developed a huge bedsore while all of this has been going on. They said they WILL get that cleared up! Once they get everything regulated and him back in proper shape he can go back to his own room. So far he has made great progress, has been very aware and awake!! Yay!!!

very aware and awake,...hey that sounds great,....i am pleased for your Dad,..and you and your family,....progress,....oh great news,...the bed sore will heal,...so now you take it easy,..i will still keep him in my prayers!.

Linda, I am pleased to hear that he's been awake and aware. I am sorry to hear however that he is having issues, but it sounds as though they are under control. I'm sure you are very tired this week. You are in my prayers angel, so hang in there sweetie. Hugs, Deborah xo
