What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy. You look so peaceful sitting there. I love to garden, I add something new every season. I'm not sure how or if I can move this thread. Otherwise, love the pictures!

My Mum, who is English, is an avid gardener and she grows the most beautiful roses. However, that being said, I may just have to email some of your flowers to her. Your photographs and flowers are so beautiful. My Mum is a little competitive, so I might start a gardening war  I love roses and one of the things I love most about England in particular is that in every small town, all one can smell in summer time are the roses. The scent evokes many happy memories. I love all the other flowers as well. I have a bit of a brown thumb but I do enjoy and admire a beautiful garden, such as yours

Hi Kian,..Linda,.. Deborah,...and,...Donna,..and of course Naomi,
yes i am hidden away,..through my own fault perhaps,..but it is The Secret Garden,..so i do not mind!,...but maybe i am depriving others from seeing blooms at a time when most of us have snow,...we might manage to move the garden elsewhere,...time will tell,..but no problem.
Yes that Golden Orange Rose is a delight,..and highly scented,..as are all my roses,..i selected the scented ones,..some roses do not have a scent at all. The garden is peaceful,..no houses overlook it,..well there are only two other houses here,..one either side,..and the Church.
English gardens are fantastic,..i was in london in October,..visited lots,..but spent the whole day in Kew Gardens,..a huge garden,...loved it,..took lots of shots,..someday i will do a thread on it and the Tower Of London.
My Dad was a gardener in the Botanical Gardens in Ireland,..and so i have green fingers,...oh Deborah copy as many pictures as you fancy,..i am sure your mom will like them. If any of you have shots of your own garden,...post them by all means,...no cheating,..your own garden,...lol.

Beautiful altar and definitely worthy of your lovely flowers! Philip, when I take garden shots, they will be of my Mother's Garden. I actually live in a brand new home which is still awaiting a proper front walk, so my gardens are non-existent so far, and I still have a brown thumb. However, we do look out into the woods and I watch the wild turkeys every day, along with many other beautiful birds and animals. I saw a lovely Blue Jay out side of my bedroom window yesterday morning. Quite striking against the solid white snow and brown bark of a sleeping woodland...I enjoy it.

Hi Deborah,
ah a brown thumb,...and a garden to plan with the new house,....i would just love that,...planning a garden from scratch,....oh your Mums garden flowers will be appreciated here,...though i think i might be in for some competition there,..lol. What a great advantage to look out to the woods and be surprised at what appears from time to time,...have your camera ready for visitors,...that Blue Jay would be nice to get a picture of,...my friend in PA sends shots of Hummingbirds,...Turkey and Elk,..fantastic shots,...so be prepared.

Philip, that last picture you posted reminded me. We have wave petunia's here. Do you have those? When I get home tonight I am going to try and find some of my pictures from the last 2 summers. They are beautiful and just keep growing in waves. The seeds have fallen off and grown in my mulch!! Don't think I have any close ups of a bloom, but you can see what they look like. This makes me eager for spring and all of the blooms to start popping up. I can't wait to see everyone's flowers and gardens.....and Philip keep the pictures coming! I love this thread!!
