lol!

Well, the basement apartment I live in right now is tiny. The entire place (which consists of a bathroom, semi kitchen, bedroom, and living room) is about the size of just the bedroom at my new place!

When I was moving here, I jumped at the place I am now because I got to live on my own for the first time, and my landlord would let me foster dogs!

But, I've come to realize I'm being ripped off lol. The place I'm moving to is only $25 more a month and it's more than twice the size, includes a parking spot and a long distance phone plan (both of which I don't have here).

And just to give one more example....I'm living in the basement of a semi right now, but moving to an entire detached house that I'll be sharing with only one other person who is never home. And she likes dog!

I actually work with the lady who owns the house and lives there, and she's fantastic! One of those genuinely kind people, who knows how to have fun and be fair. She's definitely quirky though (read has an INTENSE Springsteen obsession!)

How exciting altaylor! I'm sure you're going to love having so much more space! I can definitely feel you on that one, I have the upstairs here, but it's still very small.

I received my card today from Brenda!

Thank you SO much. I know I can't say too much on here (don't want to ruin the surprise!), but it's absolutely touching.

Altaylor your new place sounds wonderful! I do hope your landlord gets your mail to you. My cards are done and for the family as well. This year I have tons of cards to send, the first time in years.

The mail to my house is excruciatingly slow, unless it's a bill!

Lynners...you did make me laugh describing your new roommate/landlord's obsession with Bruce Springsteen!!! She must be close to my age  There are worse things.

I still haven't even started my cards, and I apologize. It's always like this for me at this time of year, which is why I was reluctant to sign up for the exchange as I don't wish to disappoint anyone. Ben's birthday comes first, and with all the other minutiae going on around me right now, I will take a bit to get my cards out. They might even come in January, and then they will be a nice New Year's Surprise!
