What's the best thing that's happened to you this year?

Mine would have to be:

The birth of my 2nd nephew
and Bringing home Stewie

Let's see:

We just had a new grandson born Christmas Eve and another born last Spring.
We had an amazing trip of a lifetime
I finally quit working outside of the home and now have a job working at home, a dream come true.
My mom is still here, hopefully she makes it through 2010.

-Getting baptized over the summer
-Starting high school (that includes football games and homecoming )
-Going to my first concert
-Going to summer camp with my BFFs and going on a 16 mile hike

I might have forgotten some from the beginning of the year but oh well

What a wonderful thread idea Michelle!

Mostly in chronological order:

- Our trip to Florida in March...best vacation I've ever had with my sons, EVER!
- HENRY!!!!!
- Oliver's continued, beyond belief, good health
- My sons and even the OH for tolerating me yet another year

I may come back and add to this thread, but that's what I came up with off the top of my head.

getting rid of the kidney stones

My mothers health inproving.

My OH and my family

getting Autumn,tho sometimes I wonder about this one.

And of course Lucky and Gabe making in an other year fairly healthy.

Morty made it through the year...we were doubtful for a while.
Ruby is finally healthy.
We found Kessler.
All the wonderful friends I've made through the DP this year.

Getting Miley
Finding the DP
Everyone in my family safe and well
Still being employed
Stock portfolio finally in the positive after years in the neg.

I got married this year (in April) that would have to be the best thing!
Plus we got echo and our kitten willow And having a full year with macy.

Still wasn't the best year financially though i think it was like that for almost everyone.
Hoping 2010 will be better!

Getting to know everyone at the DP.
Still having a job and able to weather some of the negatives.
Charlie was relatively healthly this year, Abbey always is and Dougie has beat his digestive issues too!
Be less materialistic.

The DP on tour in Spain
Getting Idun
Going to Paris
My mum moving closer
SS turning seven
Christmas day

Until I went back and looked, I didn't realize so many of our regulars joined during '09. RJM, I thought you had joined just after me in '08 and MM's timing is also hazy as her OH joined for her first, and talked to us for about a month, including posting some "interesting" photos that Tracy encouraged him to take down, that I don't think MM ever saw That was during December '08, so I think MM joined us in early '09.

Michelle, I also thought you'd been around a lot longer and Kris, I remember when you joined as that was the day I had just booked our trip to Florida.

I think Tracy has been here the longest

Making new friends on the DP should be added to my list of highlights for 2009

Being healthy.. Sorta. haha

Finding DP, definitely.
Finally figuring out what I wanted to do in college and for the rest of my life. Maybe anyways.
And just enjoying life!
