I would think you could add boiled chicken into the recipe, no trouble. This is a basic New England Corn Chowder recipe. It is amazing how many variations there are of a basic recipe!

I hope you like it.

Chocolate lava cake recipe, as per Kian's request..

These are the ingredients to make 4 cakes in ramekins:
6 oz. Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate (or use your favorite 70% dark chocolate bar)
6 oz. Butter (diced, room temperature)
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1/3 cup Flour
Butter for Ramekins

Directions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees (Farenheit)
- Beat the sugar and eggs until they begin to whiten, set aside
- In a double-boiler (I use a little fondue pot that I have) melt the chocolate. Make sure to do this on a low flame, because it burns easily
- Stir in the diced butter until it melts, and take it off the heat
- Stir the melted chocolate into the egg/sugar mixture, and when that is blended, add the flour
- Butter the ramekins, and bake for about 10 minutes

* I find that baking for about 12 minutes works best to get the outside cooked enough that you can get them out of the ramekins without losing any of it on the dish. Don't forget that when you take them out of the oven they'll continue to bake a little, so you don't want to overdo it because then you'll just have chocolate cake (which is also delicious!) Enjoy! :D

Bump!

I found a couple of recipe threads....was looking for RJM's White Chicken Chili. There are other good ones in here worth revisiting!!

Maybe we could combine these threads?

Here's the link to a recipe website I've gotten some great recipes from.
They have recipes for pretty much anything you're looking for.

RJM, I have "Simply Recipes". I used to have "All Recipes", but it's gone now for some reason. I'll have to fix that.

Brenda, those sound so yummy! I am taking Wednesday off to bake. I think those might have made it onto my list...

One questions: how did you get the persimmon pulp? (forgive me if that is a stupid question... )

I think I have all the ingredients. Even persimmons from my neighbors tree. If I have time today. I might just try to make these. I love cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. So I'm hoping these are good. I'm not sure if I like persimmons, I have never had them before. But my neighbor came by a couple of days ago with a big bag of them from her tree. Wish me luck . I'm not the best baker
