I like that one, too, Margie. He looks plaintive, not demanding. I imagine hearing a gentle, quizzical, "Play?" It's a great pic.

 :D  Margie, you had me looking for a football! You say football, I say soccer ball  . Yes. I do know it is a football in England.

Great photos Gaby. I also really like the first one. I live the focus on Woody and the ball. And you can't help but love that look on his face!

Thanks for bumping this up. I've been itching to get my camera back out!

Gaby, that photo of Woody is priceless and frame worthy! Monts looks quite comfy and to me that is frame worthy also, although I know you have some other terrific photos of Monty.

Saz when I scrolled down and saw Lilly, it got a verbal "oh wow that's great"! Your pictures are beautiful.

Gaby glad you brought the thread back up! I to call Woodys ball a Soccer Ball, it's a sweet picture. I love the the sleepy Monty, I'm going to try to get one like that of Ice, they look so much alike in that one. Love your pictures.

I ordered a new lens and awaiting delivery, hope to get back out there when it comes!

Thanks for the comments guys! Margie - is Jose's ball an Orbee too? I love it! Finally a ball big enough for us to play football (soccer) with that he can't puncture!

Kian, it would be awesome to have a good comparison photo of Monty and Ice! They could be long lost brothers! (In looks, I'm not suggesting at all that Ice is also a dingbat ;))

Saz, I love the photo of Lily too! And Cody is so cute as ever! I still need to meet him before he's all grown up XD

Here you go Gaby! I took his picture with my phone, it wasn't easy as he wants to get up for attention. This the best I could do. They are long lost brothers or something! (for others info, Monty is the inset)

And what's even more astounding is that they are from different countries! They really look alike.

Saz, that photo of Lily is precious. Look at those eyelashes! I adore all of the photos of Cody, what a little bundle of joy.

Yay on the new lens Kian! You'll have fun with that

Oh, and Saz, have to mention the beautiful sunset. Great photo.

Wow that's awesome Kian! They really do look like brothers! Funny that you have a black tri too! Our doppelgänger dogs! (even though Allie is mini - I think Woody was meant for a smaller body anyway, he ploughs around as if he believes himself to be a lot daintier and more agile than he is  )Also that's a pretty good picture from a phone!

You guys need to get busy taking some pictures :P

I kid! The reason I'm taking loads is my coursework is due in the monday after next! :S Since my teacher gave me NO guidance on what to put into my coursework, and I'm only halfway through (and he told me things I could have done AFTER I was half way through.....this is GCSE photography, ie. it's supposed to be for 15-16 year olds, where you are supposed to get a lot of guidance because there are very specific things that have to go into it!!) I'm going to need to work hard and just put in EVERYTHING I can think to get those marks! After my deadline I have a ten hour exam.....and one of the topics to choose from is 'Animals in Action!!' WOOO! I can use old photos too, my teacher said, and I think I have a few 'action' shots :D

ANYWAY
Here is my contribution, we went to the New Forest today :) -

Image

I'm really pleased with this one, love my Monty  (He's so well trained for the camera ;)) -
Image

And this is a New Forest pony.....well.....it's nose and hoof anyway! I like their noses, their mouths are so cute  -

I got my new filters & awaiting my new lens, then you can bet I'm back at it!! Gaby I love that shot of Monty, I have one similar of Ice. That is a great picture. I love Woodys, what a handsome boy. I like that angle of the New Forest Pony, very nice.

Saz your pictures are so good. I had to take a second look at the first one, it looked like waves at first. Very nice shot of the plane and I do like the angle of the pathway.

Both you and Gaby have a great eye! Guess another reason your good friends.

Thanks Kian :)

It is nice to have someone to confer with, pass tips onto and ask for opinions from as well. Two heads are better than one as they say! :D

I can't wait to see what you can do with that lens!! I was using my 70-300 for these shots. I've been practicing using manual mode and steering clear of auto. So I'll probably have a quite consistent stream of photos coming up. Lol. Sorry if I swamp you guys!!

What filters have you got? I've only got UV. I'd like some polarising and also an ND filter so I can try out long exposures. They were in my magazine recently ("Digital Camer" - its next to me on my be along with my latest dog magazine haha) and looked really interesting and you can get some truly original shots using them.

I got a pink one (did you see the sunset on my FB page, that was a quick shot to try it out), a circular polarizer & a UV protector.

I like the manual mode, the shots can be so clearer and dramatic. Flood us away!!
