Kian, that is fantastic news! I thought they all looked so sweet together in the one picture of Jenny and Banjo, with Scout in the background. When is Cola due?

Poor Ice must be going crazy. Finally there are animals to herd and he's not allowed. I understand completely, as does sweet Allie. He will one day. :D

This must be so much fun for your Granddaughter!

How exciting! Banjo does look a tad bit irratated! He's too cute!

I was reading Jon Katz's (an author) blog today--he recently took an abused/neglected donkey and is nursing him back to health. I had forgotten he had an affection for donkeys.

Michelle, Kian lives in New Mexico, which is part of the United States. Mexico is the country located directly south of the United States, as Canada is directly north.

Kian, I think it's sweet that the Maiden is named Jenny, now that I know a Jennet is the equivalent of a Mare (or Brood Mare). I also think Secret is the sweetest name. Jenny looks small until I see her next to Banjo! He is so tiny and adorable.

Kris, how sweet of Jon Katz to rescue a Donkey. They are so easy to love as they are so sweet.

The Whimsy Farm indeed! I'm so pleased for you Kian.

The baby is due next Spring, so another winter to go through before the event. Hope it's warm as I will be camping out by her to watch.

Michelle you do make me smile!

Kris that is sweet of that man.

Ice got to herd the goat a little bit and he did great, no contact, just the push. We have a long way to go.

I do have a goose story!
Two nights ago I went out at 9:30 to get Scout to put her in a safe place for the night. (I don't have to do that now as the Jenny will protect her) I heard this honking out in the field behind the barn next door, very strange she does not have a goose. I call to the goose, yes I honked like it and there was a rustle in the field as this rather large looking goose which I could barely make out in the dark came running to me. Goose please be nice. It wanted to be picked up and a small duck was right with it, so I picked it up and heard more rustling in the field. THE FOX! I figured they belonged to my neighbour across the street and was not home. I made my way to the gate holding the goose and the duck right on my heels. I tried to yell for OH to help me, he heard me not. As I made it to the neighbours, they arrived home and confirmed it was thiers. Yup the fox tried to get them and they took off behind the barn. They hadn't expected to be gone so long and was late getting home to put them away. Lucky goose and duck!

A poultry herding Fox! Uh oh... (I just watched Fantastic Mr. Fox last night on Netflix). The goose was very sensible to call you for help. And the duck showed sense following the goose. You must get some fowl, Kim, you really must. There are books, acres of books!, to be written about the adventures of the Whimsey Farm animals!

Can you tell I'm tickled?
