Brenda your garden is my goal, love the corn! It seems that the plants just love humidity. I love Lindas yard and garden, it is sooo pretty. It almost makes me want to move to greener areas in the midwest. My garden always did do well in Utah, can I move back????.....please.

We are finally getting rain in NM, I can't wait to see my garden when I finally get home. I do hope the rain has helped, we did have a Zucchini growing when we left, fingers crossed.

Wow things are really taking off in everyone's garden!! I keep getting zucchini but they keep shriveling up! I think I may have one that is doing ok. Already harvested a few peas (YUM) and am slowly getting tomatoes. One of my baby pepper plants has a wee tiny pepper starting to grow! As for the rest--Hydrangeas are gorgeous with both pink and purple blooms and everything else is growing like weeds! Even getting new ostrich and sensitive fern fronds! I'll have to post pics soon.

I have Brenda, I replanted the red and white hibiscus seeds and they are growing like crazy this time. I was surprised how much they had grown when we got back!

I could have enjoyed some of that corn with my cucumber and tomato supper tonight  That's one thing I do want to try to grow next year. A small amount anyway.

I'll get photos of the cardinal climber and the hibiscus tomorrow.

The only plant that didn't do well while we were gone was my hanging basket flower. I watered it when we got home, but I think its done for. I'm keeping the basket to make my own next year though!

Here's the photo from fb of what I came home to

I went outside to work very early this morning, its so hot and humid here! I didn't miss this humidity at all

Brenda here are the pics of the Hibiscus and Cardinal Climber.

Just two spots the Hibiscus are growing in.

I tied thread from the trellis to the deck so this had more room to climb. It was attaching itself to the sedum beside and behind it!

Linda I'm thinking those look more like touch me nots . I'll post picture later of mine. Hope I didn't get them in wrong bag . I will have plenty more seeds I'll send you new ones this fall and mark right I hope :o

I think I also forgot to tell you the cardnial climber can grow 6 feet +. I noticed that it seems you just got the small fernlike leaved ones have a slightly bigger leaf one I'll get seeds for you of them also. Hopefully my Moonflowers seed this year and I can send you some of them. The grow 6+ feet have a large white bloom that blooms at night. When mine start blooming I'll get a picture.

Linda, that is a lot of cucumbers! They are the North American variety (as opposed to the English) and I love a fresh cucumber salad made with either. :D I loved your one juicy tomato! I never did raid my Mum's tomato plants but I'm quite sure she won't mind if I do. She takes pity on her daughter with the brown thumb.

Brenda, your flowers are just gorgeous!!!! I think it's very sweet of you to send seeds, and it's fun if they're a little mixed up as to what they might really be. It's a nice surprise, just like Christmas as a child. 8)

Fresh peas are delicious, says the person who had to eat peas every night of her life growing up! They go so well with Lamb, or in certain salads. I'm envious of your beautiful Garden.

I am enjoying seeing the "fruits" of everyone's labour. I love Zucchini, Tomatoes, Cucumber and Beets! Beets are my all time favourite. They are just so yummy. I can make a whole dinner out of just those veggies alone despite being a meat lover.

Brenda, I finally got a few minutes to come in and look at the photos you mentioned.

I do believe they are touch me nots! Don't worry about the mix-up, all is good because they are growing like crazy.

I'm still picking cucumbers like crazy. Giving them away to everybody and their brother  . AND eating at least 2 per day all by myself! I picked 14 more tonight, along with 5 ripe tomatoes. One tomato was HUGE!

Deb, I'll have to look up the difference in the 2 types of cucumbers. These are the kind I've always eaten. If you were a little closer I'd be bringing you some of these cucumbers too!

I had to laugh when I saw my last photo of the cardinal climber. It's completely covering the trellis and the strings now and winding up the bars of the deck above. I keep looking for blooms at the bottom but haven't seen any so far.

I've been so busy, and with this horrible heat I have been taking more time with Sadie. She could only handle short walks. We have been running through the house, playing with lots of toys and she has learned a few new tricks. She did finally get 2 good walks tonight though since it finally cooled down to the low 90's. Who would have every though the low 90's would feel cool! Sorry it took me so long to get in here and answer you Brenda, thanks for the heads up on fb that you had posted pictures.

(Also not the place to really post this but I'm on limited time tonight too. Brenda I saw where you posted the time difference between everyone. Nice job! I wish I had time to post more and answer in the appropriate thread, but we will have to get together! We are very close!!)

I love the gardens and the yards, so pretty! My corn is knee high now after the third planting, I have noticed many gardens where there is a 3rd planting and they are the same size as mine. I do have Zucchini (and a few squash bugs  ), peas which I eat when I'm outside, tomatoes and radishes.

Ice dug a hole in the weed tarp in the back yard (bad dog-good dog) because now I will fill it in with bagged soil and plant a few seeds that Brenda sent. I have to look and see what I have left. I will put a tomato cage around it to keep the dogs out while it grows. I feel hopeful this time!

Kim and anyone else who wants them ,let me know what seeds you need or want . I have new poppy seed and will have new touch me not seed, moonflower ,spiders(deer do not like these, I found if I plant next to something they do let they will usually stay away) hibiscuis, white ,red or dark pink and light pink. I also have olf fashin tiger lily seeds, these bloom orange with black stripes and have seeds down there stalk. I sure I have other seeds just can't think of them right now.

Roxanne post a picture I'd like to se them. I'm glad they look nice for you .

Very cool that your climber has bloomed RJM!!! I'm still waiting on blooms.

Kian, I'd say your last planting of corn is doing quite well! Our neighbor grows lots of corn and has been bringing it to us daily. I know if we planted it in our garden he would be disappointed that he couldn't share his with us. We have the best neighbors! I do wish you had gotten to meet them when you were here Kian. Next time!!

Brenda, the poppy seeds and hibiscus never did come up. I may try them again next year. It may be too late this year for them to get a good start.

I replanted the Cardinal Climber today, with the rain maybe this time!

Alina have you used your composter yet? My pile is doing okay.

I will meet your neighbour next time Linda! Mark and I are already talking about the day we will come and visit.
