Hi everyone, It's been awhile since i've posted ! So much has changed so let's get started! I decided to hop back on here after visiting with Kian this weekend, I realized how much I miss you all but for personal reasons Didn't feel comfortable coming on here.. And here's why.

Marco was rehomed about a month or two before Ava was born He had so much energy, i was on bed rest and we just were worried with his hyperness around the baby, not to mention the fact he would trip me daily getting under my feet. I found him a wonderful home with a couple who had to have their Aussie put down due to cancer I can't remember but he was in his teens'. someone is home with him everyday all day, he has ahuge house and ahuge yard and swimming pool that he gets to play in. We met them and Marco went right for her husband and didn't even look back so we knew it was the right choice for everyone involved.

Madison is with a friend of mine, she has medical issues so she is also home all day long and they have another golden who is a year older then madison. she gets to go swimming every day, and sometimes even twice a day she is spoiled rotten and gets sung to at nighttime and on hot nights she and her furbrother get ice cream! I still get updates from her on FB and see pictures often. We rehomed her because after Ava came we just didn't have time that she needed for walking/parks/and she was hyper around ava. it was a hard decison on both dogs but we did what was best for our family, and for the dogs we made sure they ONLY went to good homes.

Chrissy only stayed with us a short time, we got her better her coat grew in adn she lives with my best friends mom. they also have another maltese and were looking for a 2nd dog for their home.

We were just fine with Ava (pictures to come) and Moose, until we had some breakins in our area and some robberies.
I was nervous as DH works all the time, we found someone who was looking to rehome their Great Dane, as he was joining the AF and didn't have a home for him. We told him that we were interested so they came over everyday for about 2 weeks and stayed for a few hours so "duke" could get to know us and Ava and see how he did around our family.
Well "duke" is now Jaeger and now has been with us for 5 months. He is a Merle Great Dane, weighs 155 lbs AWESOME with Ava and a great protector of Ava and I and our house.


now you know why I stopped coming here, it was hard to rehome marco and maddie but we had to do what was right for our family.i ask if you don't have anything nice to say, or feel to lecture me that you keep it to your self. I did what was right for the dogs and our family.

Ava is going to be a year old in 2 WEEKS!! she still has NO teeth and not talking but she is trying to walk she is a crawling machine says momma and dadda and when you ask her where her puppy is , she points to Jaeger and laughs. and then claps. she will also wave and blow kisses

Hello Namers! I came on for a moment and your here!!! I'm glad your here and posted pics, I haven't had time to post AZ pics yet of us and Ava.

I know it was a hard decision with Marco and Madison that you cried over, now they both have the attention they need. With your mom being sick and you gone more than home, they weren't getting any attention. There are times when we have to rehome and this was one of them.

Jaeger is so laid back, he is just so cool and good with Ava. After coming home and seeing the donkeys, I swear he is has tall as Cola! Just not as wide...LOL. I heard about the problems in your area from my kids, it seems they have had problems and they don't live far from you. Scary stuff when your there with Ava, at least Jaeger is a good loud alarm!

I Love Ava, she is so adorable, those blue eyes are so pretty. She looks a lot like you!

Hi Namers, Glad you're back!
I had noticed on FB that you hadn't mentioned Marco and Madison...now I know why.
You had to do what was best for your family, and I KNOW you wouldn't rehome them to just anyone. I'm so happy to hear you found them great homes where they are both being spoiled...LOL!

Jaeger is such a beautiful guy, the picture of him and Moose sleeping together is too cute!
It's hard to believe Ava is almost one...wow! And I love the pic of Ava and Kian!

Thanks Kian! it was great to see you! after you left Ava kept pointing to the door blowing kisses! she knew you were gone that just means you'll have to come back for a visit soon!!
Jaeger sure was inlove with you too! as soon as you left he went back to normal goofy jaeger mode and kept checkin' out the door too until i told him to lay down and play with Ava, she then crawled all over him,

it was very hard and many tears over marco and maddie bu t they are better off now and i still get updates on both pups i actually am waiting for a email back from Marco's mom. i didn't even realize it but he and Ava have the same birthday!!

Namers, I was wondering about Marco & Madison too...I have to tell you I really respect your decision. In far too many situations people think they are doing the right thing by keeping a dog when in reality there is a better home out there for them. It is a very selfish thing, IMO. Good for you for realizing that your home was not right for both you and the dogs and finding them the right ones. It sounds like they are both doing very well.

Thank you ladies, it was really a hard thing to do but it was what needed to be done. i didn't post anything on FB either because not everyone thinks that what we did was right and i just didn't want to deal with negative people.. but i really missed you guys so felt It was time to tell you and that i was in a place mentally that i can come to you guys and tell you and not worry about the backlash I may get.
Both dogs are beyond spoiled!

Jaeger looks like a perfect addition to your family. Danes are BIG and will scare off strangers but are so gentle with family and kids. The Pics of him and Ava are precious.

No lecture from me. I completely understand the need to rehome a dog. My last dog Copper was rehomed to me by friends and they never stopped loving her, just couldn't give her the home she needed. As I'm sure you still love Marco and Madison. And because of that love, you did the right thing finding them the perfect homes and families.

Hello and a big welcome back. No lectures from me, as well. Each of us has to do what is right for our own families and placing the pups in a good home is a win, win in my book. Jaeger is adorable and will be a great companion and protector for Ava and you. Ava is growing up so fast. It isn't fair! Babies shouldn't be allowed to grow up so fast. LOL I couldn't decide who she looks more like, you or the OH, but she is ravishingly cute.

I loved the pictures of Kian and Ava and Kian and Jaeger. Is there any more thought of a sister/brother for Ava on the horizon? For now, Jaeger will suffice.

Again, welcome back, sweetie and just keep posting pictures of beautiful Ava.

Hello friends! I've missed you! and thank you for understanding I was hoping you all would. It was a very hard thing to do and I still miss them both tons and still love them. but i get updates from their new families and plan on going to see Maddie in a few weeks!

I will post more pictures of Ava, more requently for you ladies who would like to see pictures!

As far as a brother/sister for Ava we are actively trying I had a M/C in Jan. so we took a few months off and started trying again in June, so far nothing, we are hoping it's not like before Ava where we were trying for years.. we will see though..

I had to say I nearly cried reading your post because you did such a hard and amazing thing that was clearly the best decision for everyone but obviously a heartbreaking one for you.

Ava is beautiful! And the pictures of herself and Jaeger are adorable (And Moose is cute too! ) I love all the names, I have to say

Great Danes are my favourite breed, so I may be biased, but I think you did a fantastic job of finding Jaeger, CLEARLY he adores Ava, and seems just like many GDs I've seen, quite happy to have Ava climb over him and do whatever

I have great respect for you doing so much so that everyone was happy, it sounds like Marco and Madison went to homes that will be perfect for them and that they will be happy in for the rest of their lives

mooses' red shirt is hanging in the closet! it's been 110+degrees here for the last 3 months, no need for a shirt so he's Naked as Kian says LOL once it starts to cool down he will get his shirts and sweaters on again, but i don't see that happening anytime soon!

Jaeger has turned out to be a perfect fit for our family he's hyper only when there are guests over (still working on that) if he knows them he wants to play with them so he gets wound up if he doesn't know them he's very standoffish (although not with Kian!!) and we have to tell him that they are ok and he sticks close to Ava and I. he loves to be a couch potato, and that's no joke he LOVES to sit on the couch, he will back up and plop his butt down and watch TV with us, if you look at the picture of Kian and Jaeger, he's doing just that plopped his butt on the couch hanging out. he loves to go for walks and runs like a baby deer springing thriu the air at the dog parks, Ill have to get video becuase it's hard to imagine a 155 lbs dog running and jumping the way he does.
He doesn't mind Ava at all he truly loves her and she loves him just as much. he will stand up and let her crawl under him all the time let me see if I can find some more pictures, i have video of them as well Jaeger just laying there while Ava bangs on him, climbs and crawls over hinm..
let me see what i can find on this computer..

as far the M/C it was hard we have been doing everything we can to get preg, but this month we are just going relaxed mode. lol it's more fun and doesn't seem like a chore. and when we do get pg we are not going to find out what we are having! how exciting! we have names picked out already

Namers , Welcome back! Beautiful Beautiful Ava is reallt growing. Sometimes you have to make tuff decisions , you did what was best .
