Thanks ladies. :) Happy birthday to me.

I had a fairly good day. I was given a hefty amount of $$$ (more like £££...) to add to my "camera fund", and my mum brought me three dog identity tags that won't need replacing any time soon, as it has a "rubber-ised" cover, and one of my mates got me some business cards. 8)

I got to spend the last half of my birthday the colour of a tomato, as big, buff people in army uniform sang "happy birthday" as loud as they could, in the highest pitch(es) I've ever heard, while marching up and down the road pointing at me. :? Wasn't the most fun ever, but there you go...

I haven't been able to participate much here, because we're getting ready to holiday in Devon from Friday to Monday this week. We'll still have the Dobermans with us, but that should just make it more fun. I should be "back to normal" after the first week of November. You have that to look forward to. 8)

Thanks for the birthday wishes. :)

Happy Birthday, Emma!!!!

I'm glad you had a great day - in spite of the embarrassing happy birthday song.

Enjoy your holiday in Devon! You should try to get to Tracy's gallery!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!

I hope you have a lovely holiday! I'm sure all those buff young men singing to you only seemed embarrassing at the time. It will become a fond memory by the time you are my age!

Oliver and Henry are sending special Cavalier hugs and kisses, and I am sending along a hug too. You are very close to your new camera now I hope.

Cheers. 8)

I did have a pretty good day. However, I didn't appreciate the 'serenade' at all. Very awkward.

We bid farewell to Gizz-Wizz today. Dropped him off at a friends house. Tippi and Star are going to be leaving with another friend later this evening, then tomorrow at 8AM the other two Jacks are heading down to somebody elses house. I'm going to miss my little dawgies.

We've all decided that this isn't worth an 8-hour drive and two days in Devon. Day-um... :|

An 8 hour drive for two days, considering all of the fur gang that required tending, is rather ambitious. At least go for week, or even 4 days. Never mind that though. You'll have a wonderful time!

Take lots of pictures please! 8)

I hope nobody minds, I'm going to post the holiday photos here. I don't think they're worthy of a new thread, seeing as we didn't get out much.

Due to the change in circumstance, they're just photos of the dogs. Nobody else felt like going out, so the few pictures that I have aren't the best, as most of them were taken by my Ex-Step Nephew, Tyler, while I was walking the dogs.

And this is Archie the Labrador/Border Collie/Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Doberman mix. He was originally our dog, but when the dog we brought him to be a companion for passed away, we gave him to the family we went to visit this week. He's 7 now.

Sorry they aren't very good pictures. I wish the circumstances were better. :(

See, I'm late too! I don't check the DP often enough. Hope you had a fantastic birthday! The pictures are great as well xD are you like me where 'holiday photos' end up consisting of like 5 people photos and 400 doggy ones?

We had a bit of bad news regarding one of our dogs on Saturday morning, and we left late Friday morning, got there late afternoon. We had a couple of hours of Holiday, and the rest of the time was spent worrying about the dog and then wanting to go home. We left the house once to walk the beach. I was the only one who went out for the rest of the holiday, and that was only to walk the dogs twice a day, which is why there aren't any nice photos. We're home now though. We'll be really busy for the next few weeks, so I probably won't be around much at all.

Hopefully everything will be sorted out enough to enjoy Christmas.

Oh, you already said that, sorry, it must have gone in one eye and out the other when I read it

Sorry about the bad news :(

I don't have an excuse though, I just like taking pictures of my doggles more than my peoples. >_>

It would be alright if people would just learn to smile for a treat as dogs do ;) it's just so inconvenient having to ask people to say CHEESE or SAUSAGES or whatever
