DP Meetup-Nashville?

Deb, Nezza and I have been discussing a possible fun time in the beautiful city of Nashville, TN! Nezza doesn't live far from there, she knows the area.

OH and I are thinking of going whether anyone else can go, we are looking at mid September. It's cooler, hopefully airfare will go down in price. Nothing is concrete yet, just putting it out there.

We will be going to the Ryman and of course cannot miss the Grand Ole Opry, it's something OH really wants to do.

I will be keeping this in mind, and heaven knows I darn well deserve a holiday! I love and adore my DP friends, and although Nashville has never really been on my radar, Niagara Falls wasn't either. I actually had a good cry when I had to leave as it was far too soon. Never say never!!!

Kian, let me know when you're sick of me crashing your travel plans. I would love to go to the Opry. It's legendary, and a "must see" destination. With Vanessa being only 90 minutes away...a rental car, and other accommodations could easily be arranged.

Obviously, this would be more than a long weekend for me, if Vanessa is alright with that. By the way Vanessa, we found one of the beautiful things about the last trip was very few planned events that were "required" attendance. Everyone did what they wanted, with the exception of one dinner, which lead to the party in my room!

For events like the Opry, I'm sure we would have to commit to buying tickets in advance, so we might plan an evening around that...which I would love.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Tracy could come too?! Since it will be longer than just a weekend, that too might be doable. I am SO naughty when it comes to some things! Tracy and I could share accommodations, and a car, as I would be leaving everyone here right where they are. Both of the boys will have school and someone needs to take care of the dogs.

Yup Phyrie, the Grand Ole Opry is legendary, one never knows who might just show up. Could be Trace Atkins, Brad Paisley or heart be still............Tim McGraw. There are planned entertainers, however, it is open to any entertainer to show up and it is Country.

Oh pooh!! Wouldn't you know, we have a wedding here on September 15th that we MUST attend.

ETA: Unless I came alone and sent the HO to the wedding by his lonesome. Naaahhh, I know you ladies will have none of that...the HO must come along too, right?

My older sister is retiring early. She wants to move back to San Antonio. Her last day is next Friday. She is so excited. Now I have a dog sitter and will be able to travel a bit more. I hate boarding my girls.

RJM, I'm sure we can find a "solution" as the HO's attendance is a must. However, if he can't make it, I know you and I will manage just fine flying solo. I'm used to it. We can find a solution!!!!!

Phyrie, yes it is Country Music for which you should have some appreciation! Don't make me school you!!!! I love that your OH likes the idea. He's too cool for school! Give him a giant hug from me. ♥ Besides, imagine if we manage to gather Tracy, as well as Liz, Cyndy and others who couldn't attend the last one???? You can't miss that, besides I'll be there. I've already told my family about it, and they all agreed that I should go. I don't have a handbag with fringes, or a jacket either...so I'll need to do some shopping when I'm there.

Kian, Tim McGraw is delish to say the least. I also love Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Reba, and so many others.

I'll bet Kwak would be up for this as well. She loves to travel and is such a good sport.

Liz, I would love to meet you and "Babysister"!!! We've shared so much. It would be amazing to actually give you a real hug. Oh, I do hope Margie could come as well. Everyone has to come!!! Kris also has to come as she was *this* close to the last one, and Alina too!!!! Angie isn't far away, relatively, nor is Sher!
