Well, everyone, I guess we don't have to wait much longer for the beautiful little Master Henry to arrive at his new home.
He is such a precious little boy, and will have a precious big (little) brother Oliver. Ahhhh, puppies are so much fun and all that comes with them, and wow, enjoy because the time flies! Enjoy every moment of both of those wonderful little Cavaliers.

Claudia, I love your beautiful little girl, Daisy. She is so pretty and I love her color and she looks so congenial. Hgs to that little girl.

Also Samson's Mom, what are you really going to name your Cavy puppy? C'mon, we know you are going to get one. They are really contagious. I had the same fear about illnesses after I read about little Oliver's difficulties, but as I think it over, life is full of this type of thing and we simply cannot let this stop us from what we really want and need. We are stronger than fear.

Well, gotta go see my puppy now.

See you all later. Deborah, get some rest. No more headaches. Hugs to Oliver

Love, Elizabeth
Elizabeth and Miss Katie =o)

Two more sleeps until Henry comes home! We had a very relaxing day today and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Snoops, I don't really remember how long it was when Oliver started sleeping through the night. It was about 4 weeks I think.

I caught Elliot doing something totally adorable last night. He set up a "slide show" on my computer of all of the pictures we took from last weekend (I only posted about a third of them!) While watching the slide show, he was listening to Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here! How cute is that?! Elliot can't wait to see Henry again and at least twice daily he talks about how much he misses him. Pink Floyd and Puppies...life is wonderful!

Oh, Deb, that is so cute. How nice that Elliot is so on board about the new pup. Although, if it was me, I don't know that I could let my new pup sleep without me... Just saying..... Actually, I guess that makes me rather selfish.... I don't care... I want that morning puppy breath all for myself!

Remember, in the middle of the night, waking up and just FEELING something watching you...and turning on the lamp, there's a puppy, sitting on your head, looking down, calm and cool, giving you the "I'm bored, what about you, Mom?" look? And you sweep that pup up, and kiss it and cuddle, and then *sigh* out for another piddle, and then back to bed, where he snuggles into the small of your back or the bow of your belly and then he sighs, content again to sleep..... until, after awhile ....you get a feeling......

Deb, did I mention how jealous I was?

ONE MORE SLEEP!!!!

Phyrie, quit already! You've almost got me talked into going in to the shelter next time I'm going that way ... almost! Talk like that sure does bring back puppy memories!! Cheyenne does sleep in the small of my back ... and further down, and up to my shoulder blades, and up to my neck ... *sigh*

The shopping is complete. A collar and tag have been purchased, with Henry's name on them, along with toys, a new bed, a new crate, new food dishes, presents for Oliver becoming a big brother, etc. I had a long conversation with Henry's breeder this evening and expect to be at her place by 1:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Phyrie, Mr. Red String has found his home and his name is "Watson, Dr. Watson". Blenheim boy wins for being the cuddliest of them all. Ben has already set up the crate in his room. Elliot doesn't mind not having to jump up in the middle of the night and since Oliver occupies half of my pillow already, I think this arrangement will work. I just know that in a few short months, if that long, I'll end up with 2 dogs in my bed. The OH might have to make other arrangements  I'm teasing!

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I'm glad I'll have tomorrow morning to myself with Oliver. I plan to take my time and be extra careful on the drive tomorrow. It's only an hour away and I can take a major highway or go through farm country. I'll probably set a land speed record on my way there! Oh, and I bought a receiving blanket and matching toy for Henry, along with many other toys.

I am the proud mom of two tri cavaliers. One is 2 1/2 the other 7 months. When they go outside they eat grass like cows. Munch and munch. They look up at you with grass sticking out both sides of their mouth. They do this all the time. Contrary to most dogs, they do not get sick. They do this all day long. Has anyone else observed this behavior ?

hi, regaring the dog or puppy food. check out wysong products. my vet recommended this food for us and he has a couple oc cavalier's himself. One other thing that's great this food comes from the good old usa. Also, there's a new food made in Canada called Orejen. Check out their websites which is best for you. Both are really good foods. Good luck.

Deb, I'll be thinking of you this afternoon, and Henry, and Oliver while I go to a yucky appointment. I'd much rather be picking up a new puppy!

Hi Firegrl and Shiloh...some dogs enjoy a bit of grass to help settle their tummies. If it is not making them sick, like you, I don't see an issue. Chomp away (everything in moderation of course).

Ben and I went and picked up Henry today. He is something else! What a character he is already. This little chappy is absolutely fearless and loves Oliver far more than Oliver would like at this point. Henry has not whimpered once. He was a champ on the hour long car ride home. He is playful, charming and silly and trotted through this house like he owned the place. I think he might be able to learn to catch a biscuit

Ben and Elliot are being stellar care givers to both Oliver and Henry. They have not taken their eyes off of either one of them so far this evening. Henry wants to play with Oliver so badly and Oliver is just not sure about Henry. Oliver is being more than gentle with the puppy. Henry is spinning, twirling, leaping, bounding, running sideways, licking, gently nipping, and sleeping! I am also astounded at the sheer length of Henry's eyelashes...stunning!

I'll start a new thread and post pictures soon. It's been a busy day

Oh, Deb, how wonderful for you... If you've perused the threads you know there are more than a few people anxiously awaiting pictures. The UK folks have had to go to bed, and they are not happy about it! It wouldn't surprise me if a couple are staying up late waiting for the pics!

I'll wait, and bite my tongue, and try to imagine how much fun you guys are having.

Deb, I'm so happy for you and your family. Henry sounds like sheer delight. Bet it doesn't take Oliver more than a day to decide this newcomer is OK and can stay! Enjoy this first evening with your new baby, and take lots of pix!

Phyrie, you'll be happy to know I drove PAST the shelter again today, even knowing that the last of the puppy mill puppies were there!

Hugs
