sampson's mom wrote: Poor Meeko!!! Sampson got a fish hook in his mouth about a month ago when we were at the beach. Although it was painful for him, in the end I really think I was more traumatized by it than he was. My husband is a nurse, so he kind of knew what to look for. I know dogs are different than humans, but some basic signs of infection are similar The mouth heals much more quickly than some other areas of the body. Let us know how Meeko is doing as soon as you find out.
i had no idea the mouth healed quicker thats makes me feel much more releived!
i agree, i dont think there would be much different signs when it comes to infections.
We where gonna try and take it out ourselfs but unfortunaly it one with three hooks and couldnt exactly tell how many went through and then couldn find pliers.. so everything was happening at once lol
I no how you feel! im more traumatized then her
im so worried to leave her alone now lol
i just keep thinking what would of happend if i hadnt of been out there with her when it all happend
but im sure if she can forget it i will eventually to! .... hopefully ....

lol
i felt bad asking the vet for the fishing lure back though ( it was an expensive one .. lol)
