It's fine! I love introducing people to this wonderful breed, they're a real hound dog, running off nothing but tummies!
As for their feed, they get cooked pasta with sunflower oil, broccoli and either fish (coley) or sausage for breakfast, then kibble for dinner. We're slowly switching over to Orijen which is getting rid of the mild scurf in Mia's coat. Oh, Apollo gets an egg in his kibble, broken in half, and Mia gets one half of the eggshell to crunch. Mia isn't such a big fan of egg, unlike Apollo.
They also eat enough wood to build a log cabin and grass

And a little table scraps. Normally a scrap of bread and the gravy left on the plate. They're both spoilt

Another thing is, we're super tactile with our dogs - when we first got Apollo, the breeder, Pam, keeps her dogs outside in kennels and rotates them round so they each get a go in the house. Apollo's coat was really, really dusty and dry. After a week of being inside constantly, his coat began to shine up really nicely.
I think that's it for what we do coatwise. They get a good groom once a week, and like to scratch their backs on the CLEANLY VACUMNED carpet.
Oh, and as a little something extra, here's a few snaps of the Hamiltons at Crufts

The dog in the middle of that last picture is actually Mia's sister
