Dogman. while I applaud your knowledge and devotion to your breed of choice, I am very baffled by your decision to come here and be angry and rude to everyone who has posted. In fact, I find it bordering on belligerance.

Please share you knowledge with us so your breed is better understood. Champion your dog for all the right reasons. But do not treat us like idiots who know nothing and need to be shouted at.

For the record, I think these are beautiful dogs and want to learn more about them. But I would rather learn that from someone with a better attitude than you.

Thank you for the correction... they do look similar and for good reason... they do the same work... so we will just flip flop and put in Aussie instread of border collies...same argument goes for that same breed though.

Margie... did you happen to read the post following the OP? They stated that this dog breed has no reason in its original state in today's world...futher it was stated that it is irresponsible to breed a dog with those traits. if that isnt an idiotic and irresponsible statement then I dont know what is. Anyone passing by reading this could've took those statements as gospel from knowledgeable people and kept spreading the same nonsense to the point that BSL would and could use that against the breed. In a forum for dog lovers people should be more responsible to to spit something out w/o research, statements found in forums, news, and other articles is what is used by the folks who propose BSL. If you dont want to learn about the breed from me then what do i care, read a book, visit brazil, go to shows and visit breeders, that is how i did it and you can do it too.

BTW you will find CAFIB folks are usually more on edge as we are always looking to educate and dispell rumors. You will usually find us attempting to talk people out of getting into this breed. The ones you do have to be careful about are the ones that Dont tell you how it is just for the sake of selling you a dog , smile in your face and turn around and count the $ type of folks.

This discussion has ran it's course, Dogman your analogy makes no sense. A broomstick or a Herding Dog compared to your "protection" breed is apples and oranges. As a Moderator I am locking this thread, it is getting nowhere.

Yes, I have a right to research, we have many Trolls come our way and without the tools to research we do not know if you are one, I'm not saying either way. I fear you are here for a fight rather than a discussion and if one of us disagrees then the fight is on, we don't do it that way here. Have fun on your other forums, I'm sure the Fila Owners there have great discussions.
