Cocker Spaniels

Postby CS&Me on Sun Nov 13, 2011 10:40 am

Hi. So I'm getting a cocker spaniel puppy soon. We already did our research and we've had one before so we know how to properly care for them. I was just wondering if you guys have any advice or tips for training them, and good things to do for exercises. Thanks! :)

I think your question would be better placed in the Behaviour & Training Section. This section is designed more to talk about Breed Standards, and other Breed Specific issues such as health concerns in a broad sense.

Since you've had Cockers before, you know about the Breed itself. You could have posted about the difference between American Cocker Spaniels and English Cocker Spaniels, as well as the various colours available (acceptable) within the Breed, along with their average height and weight...things of that nature.

From there, other Cocker owners may choose to join the thread to discuss certain issues that are predominant within the Breed. Your question is very broad, as I mentioned and most answers can be found in the "stickies" at the top of the Behaviour Section.

I am not going to lock this thread, or move it, as someone may wish to add to it in the manner for which it was intended, including the OP, CS&Me. We would love to see pictures of your new pup as well. You may also introduce your new pup in the Introduction Section, once he/she has come home. :D
