January is a good month to consider donating items that can be used at your local shelter or rescue. Such items as towels, blankets, bedding, pillows, feed and water bowls and toys are so welcome and appreciated by the staff and animals. They even accept bags of food and money! Used crates and carriers, leashes and collars are also accepted.
A call to the rescue or shelter in your area can give you an idea of the items that are needed and most appreciated. Most of these are operated strictly on donation so any items are welcomed. Money is especially tight this time of year so any donation (no matter how small) really helps to provide the necessary food and warmth for the animals.
The staff and the animals will thank you for any contribution you can make.
