r.i.p kirby..

Postby Kirby7508 on Mon Sep 15, 2008 1:30 pm

my beautiful kirby, only 3 months old.. was taken from me horribly. my boyfriend and i went out to dinner, and she was left, secured up..

his roommates took her out, and she got out somehow, and she was run over by a car, both front and back tires..

we raced home.. i called my mother to go get her since she was closer.. and we met her at the hospital, where we had to say goodbye to our precious baby..

i am beside myself.. the person never even stopped to look.. to offer to drive to the vet..

my poor precious bean.. she looked so peaceful.. i kissed her goodbye.. they gave me a clay pawprint of her little foot.. today she would have been 4 months old...

rip kirby.
mommy and daddy love you forever...

Thank you. I am working on getting past feeling sorry for her.. i know she is happy, running around and playing with my old dog Samantha, and all the countless other friends I've lost.. she is pain-free, happy, and watching out for us.

Now, I am working on feeling sorry for US.. who come home to an empty house, and have no cute little puppy butt to chase up the stairs, and let out big sighs when she doesn't get her way.

That's the hard part now.. my baby is fine.. she had a wonderful, wonderful life, as short as it may have been. And I know she will send me a new baby to fulfill all her dreams, because she is running around up there telling everyone how great her parents were.

Thank you for your kind words..

I cannot even begin to express to you how badly I feel for your loss.

Kirby was and still is adorable and you are right, he is at the "Bridge" with all of yours and ours and they are all watching out for each other until we join them.

I am so very sorry

Deepest sympathy and such a tragic loss. You think everything is fine and in a flash your world changes. I'm sure your angel puppy is playing with all the other angels across the bridge.
If there are no dogs in heaven I don't want to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dear friend,
It's been a few weeks now since you lost Kirby but since I'm 57 years old and have far too many animals in my life time, I know you're not out of the woods yet. Your story brought tears to y eyes, for I have seen similar things, with much beloved pets leaving far too soon.
***edited by mod***I truly believe our pets are awaiting us when we go Home to Heaven when we leave. I have all kinds of doggies and kitties awaiting me. I lost a precious big gray tom kitty named Humphrey in 1987 and I can still cry over him if I think of him much.
Just know I am praying for you, my friend. The hurt never goes completely away but it will get better.
May the Lord bless you.

I was so sorry to read this very very sad post. I usually don't post in the forum, & never before in this particular one. I have been afraid of becoming severely depressed from reading what is written here. (I am embarrassed that I have been so selfish)
I know I am very late with this, but I want to offer my sincere condolences. You gave your little Kirby a very happy life, & I know she was (& IS) soooo appreciative.
Hopefully, if you haven't already, you will be soon able to share your love with another furbaby. Give yourself time to grieve, but remember you have enough love to give & there are zillions of deserving pups & kits out there!
