I know at one time I had a thread for Sadie, but it must be lost in history - so I'm starting a new one. I seem to take a lot of pictures so I might as well share them

This is one I took tonight, it seems appropriate to start this thread with. Greetings from Sadie Grace One very happy girl.

Awwwww! Linda, that is a happy face if I've ever seen one! Sadie Grace has grown into such a lovely girl.

I'm glad you've started a new thread to post all the pictures. We would be delighted to see them.

Oh what to do, what to do?

Sadie is having entirely too much fun! She just loves rolling around on the lawn and that pink collar is perfect.

Those are delightful pictures of Miss Sadie Grace. She is a beauty! My grass (former now) went brown in the back, it went dormant in the heat as well. Comes back nice when it's cool! Come to think of it, I do to....LOL.

Anyway loved the pictures.

Deb do you notice how red the inside of Sadie's ears are in the picture before the brown grass one? I know you were in on that conversation before. Her ears are now a nice healthy pale pink/white color. The redness is gone so the meds the vet put in her ears worked! She goes back next week for a check up and I get to learn how to clean little Missy's ears.

Linda, I did notice how red they were, but I wasn't sure if it was the heat, or the colour contrast from the photo. Now that I know that's how irritated her ears were, I feel so badly for Sadie. They must have been hot and itchy. Could you feel heat coming off of them?

They also look a bit red in the picture under the deck, but again, I wasn't sure if it was the lighting.

I hope they are feeling better now. It's no wonder you were looking for something to soothe them.

Everyone on here has been talking about how the allergies seem really bad this year, for humans and canines. Hopefully for most of them, this year is a "one off" and things will improve with the cooler temps, as well as the meds to relieve them.

Thanks for pointing it out Linda as I wouldn't have focused on that otherwise. I was honestly just looking at how darn cute Sadie Grace is rolling around in the grass.

The photo under the deck was taken the same day as the other one with the red ears. For those who weren't in the thread this was discussed in (don't remember which one now!). Sadie had brown stuff in her ears, one a lot worse than the other. But no smell. I tried cleaning them with an ear cleaning solution I bought and it seemed to soothe them but the brown stuff came back after about a week. So I knew then it wasn't dirt. The vet said she had a yeast infection in her ears and a very slight bacterial infection. Plus she had the itchy belly leg thing going on too! Sadie was put on an antiobotic for the chewed spots on her legs, Benadryl for the itching & red patches on her belly and upper legs and they put a really thick substance in both ears that stayed there for two weeks. (It slowly seeped out, but that was ok - VERY messy at first )
Her ears look so good now! The vet also gave me a solution to clean her ears out with once a week and I get to learn how to do that next week. It seems Miss Sadie for some reason has ears that will have problems, and she doesn't even have the long fold over ears. They warned me last year she would probably at some point have to have the ears cleaned often. I need to ask next week if its because they are so stand up???

And thanks Deb, I think she's pretty darn cute too, but then I would wouldn't I .
