I've had Crosby for over a year now and knowing what I know, if I could do it again, I'd have adopted his brother too. What a wonderful dog he is. Just a ball of energy, always happy to see me and he just loves people. No problem with other dogs, he is one of five that I happen to currently share a home with. Loves to run and fetch. His favorite toy is an old half deflated basketball. I throw it and he runs like the wind to get it and he brings it back and puts it at my feet, just so I can throw it again. Because of the bad news about tainted dog food, the wife and I make our own. His favorite is fried chicken livers on a bed of wild rice with cooked pumpkin mixed with oatmeal. Anyone else out there find Catahoula's as adorable as I do? Didn't even know the breed existed until we got him. I first learned of Catahoulas when I was watching an episode of "Veronic Mars", lol.

I've had THREE catahoula fosters over the summer. And I also rescued two litters of them. They are SOOOOO pretty. I fell in love with a sweet catahoula/jack russle cross this summer. OH she was a lovely dog... And then Jewel, my crazy border collie/catahoula just got adopted YESTERDAY. I'm happy she is in a home that can appreciate her energy level. I bet we still have a couple in our rescue. They are very popular around here, as I live near the La. border and people think they make good "hog dogs" ...which I DON'T think is okay.

A guy that I show rabbits with has a Catahoula. It's really pretty, I love that dog! He does love destroying woodwork though I've heard lol
