I love this thread and love looking at all the old photos. I have never seen white squirrels before. All of the baby pictures are adorable. Unfortunately, all of my baby pictures are with a very bare bottom. My mom had a thing about taking pictures with the bare bottom side up. Funny, all the kids and she could recognize who was who, looking at that end.

Sher, That is too funny!

Michelle, I've never seen a white squirrel before.
We have black squirrels, they used to be only in the very southern part of Michigan, but are slowly making their way north.

Sher, I think that is so sweet! There is nothing cuter than a baby's bottom. Of course your loving Mum knew who's who that way. Please post some of those. :D

Yes Sher, There's nothing offensive about baby butts.
You don't even have to post your own, just your siblings.

So cute Brenda! You had quite the menagerie growing up, didn't you?
Although I don't think anyone can top all of Deb's pets.

My sisters and I had one dog, but lots of smaller pets. Turtles, fish, birds, guinea pigs, even a rat for a couple months.

Growing up we had chicken ,peacocks and varies other birds, coons , baby fox, baby deer ,whatever the game warden found with the mother dead. We even had a baby skunk for awhile. We raise them till the were old enough to release then they came and went as they wanted. We really had a zoo at times but I enjoyed it.

Lynner such an adorable picture!

Alina ,yes I had a pony,I was a only child. But my father believed if you had the pony ,your we're responsible for them. I feed ,watered and brushed her everyday ,if not he would have gotten rid of her.He did make it easy by fixing a wagon to carry the feed and a waterhose and troth for water. The only time i got out of it was when I had the measles. LOL.

He was right . I learned to work for what I wanted. And took care of what I have had. Good lessons.

Brenda when I first saw the photo of you on your pony I thought it was the photo company who went to peoples houses back in the 50's & 60's and took kids photos on the ponies. NO it was your very own pony, how cool!! My mom has photos of my brother on a pony and me on a pony, but sadly they were the traveling photographer photos  . We didn't get to keep the pony. Great photo!

Lynners, what an adorable photo. You were such a precious one year old. And yes how appropriate today, Happy Birthday!

Brenda, your photo is so beautiful. It speaks volumes of the person you've become. There isn't an animal you don't love, and doesn't love you back. Your pony is beautiful, and so were (and are) you! I love that you have a wee dog in the saddle with you. Beautiful!

I didn't realize that you are an only child! How lovely that you ended up having such a big family. Your Father's lessons were well taught and certainly of value. I am enjoying all of your old photos. :D

Lynners, that is the perfect picture to post today. What a beautiful little girl you were (and still are!). I know it was a big day for your Mum, and still is every year. I love the homemade sign, your doll, and the china plates for the adults.
