I mentioned to my mom that my sister's tree was very "cold" and did not have a personality. The ornaments came as one big package from one of those bulk shopping stores. I prefer mish-mash trees too!

Keychains...that's awesome, Kwak!

I have a pig ornament, RJM, and I think of you every time I see it! :D

Your sister's tree is very pretty, but I've never understood "professional" trees! Isn't the point suppose to be personalization?
Key chains as ornaments...brillant!

I'm not sure I ever mentioned, but my thing is elephants. The little tree by my fireplace that Dougie was so interested in is all elephant ornaments.

and my new elephants! I don't usually ever buy them, these 3 really caught my eye!

Kris, The elephant tree is so cute!

I like your new elephants, especially the one on the left. Is she (it looks like a girl  ) made of ceramic?

I love it, Kris! My sister has a few elephants too. Those ones that you have there are very unique.

The one on the right looks like wood, but actually both the tall ones are cermanic. I just loved the reds & greens in the one on the left. The other two are kind of unusal because their trunk is down. Typically that is a sign of bad luck.

Edited, don't know right from left

Kris, I love your elephants! The red one is just stunning! And your elephant tree is cute. I thought that before, but now knowing it is all elephants is fabulous.

Kris, the Elephant Tree is lovely. I also like your newly acquired ones. I think it's funny that Dougie won't leave that tree alone. :D

Elliot also adored Dougie in the Santa hat.

RJM...that is perfect!!! I especially like the part where the dog barks almost at the end.

You are making me want to unearth all of my "Pig Things". They have been packed away for 10 years now.

Today was my Christmas baking day. I ended up only have half the day, so I didn't do a variety of cookies. Not that we really need 3 or 4 different piles of cookies...but the important thing was getting the coffee cakes baked. These have been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. My mother used to make 12 or more of these things as gifts for all the family friends. I only made 5 today. That was enough...

They are so delicious! Lots of brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. I also made toffee/chocolate chip cookies. I finished off my baking with some johnny cake (cornbread). That didn't end up in the photo because Mike ate that for supper.

Margie, those all look so yummy! I can almost taste them through the screen. I dearly love anything cinnamon, my favorite spice. I bet your house smells so good and Christmassy.
