So looks like it will be hitting the coast as a cat 1 cyclone, these things are so unpredictable!

Just been to the shops, shelves weren't cleared but was absolutely packed. Not sure if it was because of the cyclone or just because its a saturday, either way i'm glad to be outta there lol

The heat at the moment is unbearable, 38 C and humid.. its hard to believe a cyclone will hit tomorrow!

And to answer an earlier question, we live less than a kilometer from the coast  but theres a good 2m drop when you get to the beach, so I cant imagine the predicted higher than normal tides will go above that?

I saw that Candice posted on FB yesterday, nothing weather related, so I'm going to assume she's okay.

Candice, How is everything going? I hope you are safe.

all good here :D

Would you believe the cyclone both fizzled out completely and changed direction, i think the very south west corner of WA might have got rain? we had another hot & humid day on Sunday with clear skies

The weather Bureau was still saying Sunday morning that it was gonna directly hit Perth & Sunday's Paper had "brace for cyclone Bianca" all over the front page.. so we were all waiting for something and it didn't happen lol

It was a little disappointing to not even get rain, my lawn is dying!

Glad to hear all is well.

How funny, from battening down the hatches to no rain at all, your poor lawn.

Yeh it was really hyped up by the media, and all these cyclone warnings & information packs were circulating at work.

I guess they want to prepare you for the worst, was still a little disappointing to have nothing at all!

Anyway I went out and bought fertilizer for my lawn, going to have to start hand watering. We are on strict water restrictions so can only use sprinklers twice a week, which in this heat does nothing at all :(

Oh, my, I read your last post first, Candice, and I thought to myself, "She's stocking up on LAWN CARE PRODUCTS and a HURRICANE is coming?!" LOL! I'm delighted that your cyclone fizzled. We don't need anymore disaster areas in the world right now.

Just saw this as well.. its in northern QLD.

Image

And we thought it was bad getting hit by a cat 1 cyclone, this one has forecast 220km/hr winds in the centre

i think Louise is more south, so dont think she's affected??

Poor QLD though, they cant seem to catch a break lately! And its the 3rd cyclone to hit Aus within the past week!

Glad you are safe, Candice. Queensland seems to be getting hit with awful weather like Northeast USA is getting hit with snow!!
