Remi & Monster (4.26 It's been so long, New Pictures!)

He flicks his paws here and there when I clip them but he doesn't really wake up all the way.
It's amazing, because at the vet we have to pin him down and he cries. So I decided since he has white nails I'll just do it.

I don't feel all to comfortable clipping Remis' because their black. Before we found out that she had hip dysplasia she was getting her nail cut and she was fine with it before and fine for the first few seconds. However, they started with her back left leg(the one with the bad hip) and she flipped out. After that is when we started noticing her limping on it. Now she's absolutely terrified of getting her nails cut.

Monster is absolutely, positively, adorably edible in the pictures of him wearing his P.J.'s! I too love the second to last picture. Elliot also had a look and his favourite was the upside down squishy face. Monster is certainly a character.

How sweet of him to give his sister a bone today. They make an adorable pair. I'm sure they are both anxious for Remi to heal so they can really play again.

Today I thought I would share with you Remis best friend Izzy! They met at puppy class and as soon as they saw one another all they did was want to play with each other. Izzy is just a month or two older than Remi. We found out that we lived close to each other and we would run into each other when we would bring our pups for walks!
I would some times walk Izzy over to my house to play with Remi (and monster) during the days when her family was out busy with work/school or whatever. I got a lot of great pictures of them playing.

Remi has a tad obsession with mouths/tongues. She always tries shoving her nose in every mouth just to smell it (dog, human doesn't matter).

After the first basic obedience we took an advanced beginner obedience class and in the class before ours was a dog that looked like Izzy! Every time Remi saw him she got so hyper and excited. We found out that it was one of Izzys brothers! Unfortunately, the person didn't want to meet up with them (to give the pups a reunion) because it was too far of a drive for them just to let their dog see his sister again.

They make a very attractive pair with their completely contrasting looks. They are clearly the best of friends and your photos are lovely.

I loved all of the pictures! Izzy has an amazing tongue, and I love a good "tongue shot", and there were plenty of those. Remi and Izzy look so sweet together, and of course the Group shots are beyond adorable, with sweet Monster in the mix.

I forgot to say that those pictures were taken in October when they were 7-8 months.
It's really hard to get a good picture of Remi with Izzy or Monster with my camera because the color difference, even in the sunlight. The sunlight some times makes white/light colored things glow when it's next to something dark colored.

Remi really misses her friends. Since she known Izzy the longest they went without seeing each other was 2 weeks. It's going to be one excited reunion that's for sure.

Last week Remi kept attempting her favorite position with not much success. Today, however, she achieved it.


You can still see where the stitches were.



While I was uploading the photos(of course ) Monster was playing chase me with Ziggy(the cat). I quickly disconnected my camera to try to get some of it on video but they were done.

Currently there's 4 new inches of snow and it's still going strong. Remi still loves it even if half her backend and belly is shaved.

Bless her sweet heart! She can still wear a Bikini in summer as I barely notice where the stitches were.

Seriously, I am glad she is making such a wonderful recovery.

I've been going through/organizing all my pictures of Remi and I made a folder just for pictures of her that show her personality best or are funny. Out of all the ones I went through today these two were my favorite and I just had to share them!!!

She was looking over at the neighbors, hehe. Her collar didn't quite fit her yet.
Remi used to always try to jump into the hammock(see it in the background) she almost got in it once or twice. She would first put her bone in it and then put her front feet in and grab the far side with her mouth and try pulling herself up in it.
Monster will actually sleep in it when someone is sitting in it.




She has such nice pearly white smile and loves to show it off.



Looking at these pictures I'm actually ready for winter to be over now even though I enjoy the cold.

Remi does look happy. I would love to see a video of her trying to get in the hammock after her bone.

I must admit that the lush green grass, and scenery are making me long for Spring! That hammock looks very inviting.
