Today was a dry day for once! No snow, no rain. It would have been great if the sun had come out, but it did peek out a couple of times. Since the dog park is too wet I decided to take Sadie over to one of the walking trails here in town. It was a good day! I wish I had taken my good camera with me, but thought I better just pocket the little one and hang onto Sadie.

This is one end of a new bridge they built over a busy road to continue the walking trail. We did go up on the bridge, but just to look.



This isn't the best photo, but it kind of shows how she just bounces along so happy go lucky!! We're going up the ramp to the bridge.



She is tugging on me so hard at the top, she wants to explore!!



Uh oh, now she's hesitant , has to check it out first!



These next 2 photos show how intrigued she was by the cars going by below us. She couldn't figure out where they ended up at!

It's always funny watching a dogs reaction when they try to figure out something like cars going by below them.

She looks so happy in the second to the last picture.
I just can't get enough of her tail.

Linda, those are fantastic pictures of our Sadie Grace! I was amused by the one that showed how quizzical she was when it came to the cars.

Sadie is looking in fine form! I bet the two of you had a lovely afternoon.

By the way Linda, where is the snow??? We still have mountains of it and I could see grass for miles in your photos! It's a rhetorical question really. I'm just envious.

Deb, I didn't even think about explaining about NO snow

The temps went up to the mid 50'sF (or 13, 14 C) so all of the ground snow was gone! There is one little bit left beside the gray part of the bridge, but the rest has helped the grass start to turn green. I'm hoping our snow is done, but its supposed to turn cooler again today. And we still have the big "dirty" piles of snow in the parking lots.

Thanks everyone! We went to the Home and Flower show today and saw lots of both. But what else was there?

These beauties

This was a rescue that attends the shows with his owner and they sell dog items. He was AMAZINGLY soft. I could have buried my face in that fur it was like silk. She said she feeds him Blue Buffalo and he gets salmon oil added to his food.
He was an absolute sweetheart! He almost went to sleep when I was bent down petting him while talking to his owner.



These were with the Greyhound Rescue people. I can so see the resemblance to them in Sadie. All three had the sweetest dispostion. Gentle, beautiful dogs.

And yes, of course, I donated!!

Linda, The first dog does look soft, it looks like he has that velvet fur, like Angie's Lexy.

The first dog does look a lot like Lexy doesn't he! I've petted Lexy and she is very soft. Sadie is soft. But I can't even describe how soft this dog was. There are no words.

I already had some small cans of salmon to add small amounts to Sadie's kibble as a treat. I'll let you know if her fur gets even more silky / velvety after she has eaten it for a while. She sure licked her bowl clean tonight!
