You all shared with me my sorrow when I lost my beloved Cheyenne, now I'd like to share with you the little jinx who is melting this frozen lump in my chest ... Jinx, because that is what she did to me ...
I had been searching the web rescue sites for that special someone who appealed to me ... there are so many needing loving homes, can't take them all. This was my second visit to the Edmonton Humane Society, and I had seen a couple of dogs I thought I'd like to meet. I didn't even go intending to see Jinx - I saw the cocker spaniel, very sweet, thought I'd look at the "puggle" too & the boxer X Amstaff, but came on the room where Jinx was, went in, took one look into those "take me home & love me" eyes, and that was it.
Jinx is a 2 (?) year-old purebred pound hound! The best guess of the vets & staff at the shelter think she's part border collie. She's small, maybe 23 lbs (to Cheyenne's 87 lbs), but packs a lot of energy & love into that tiny frame. The staff person who did my interview was surprised at how quickly Jinx claimed me too! I think I'll mourn Cheyenne forever, but I've said before, the heart just seems to expand the more you have to love, and this little girl has certainly done a number on mine!
I will start a new album for her on my profile, but just wanted to thank all of you again for your love & support after Cheyenne's sudden passing.
Hugs from me, & puppy kisses from Jinx!
