Hi Caramel and welcome back! I've been a DP irregular for a couple of years but I don't think our times on the forums have overlapped so it's very nice to meet you. I read through your posts in Over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday and my heart went out to you. Chloe and Amos were beautiful, special dogs who were deeply, deeply loved.

I'm a transplanted Canadian living in Indiana with my twin ten-year-old sons, my husband and our two dogs, Jasper, a ten-year-old Aussie or Border Collie mix, and Bella, a one-year-old retriever-ish mutt. I wish I had a cute nickname like Fancypants, but I'm really just Mary Ann.

Welcome back Caramel. Are you back for good? You've an enormous amount of catching up to do. I don't think the idle chit chat thread was started when you were last here and thare's a thousand pages of that, plus quite a few of us have two dogs now.

Thanks for the warm welcome back, I haven't got another dog yet and for all the sensible reasons why we haven't my heart just screams like a child I WANT IWANT I WANT. Though we do have a new neighbour at our shop and she has a little dog that she brings to work so I'm getting plenty of puppy cuddles at the moment.
I have lurked here sometimes and it just seemed the right time to pop back in.

Annabelle looks like a sweetheart. I went a year in between dogs after losing my Pirate and with Spring brought the puppy fever. That's all it took and before I knew it, a puppy. It can happen! Glad again you are back.

What a cutie! Caramel, it's been long enough for you without a dog of your own. I do hope you have one soon. I know all of the excuses, but I too added another puppy to the house (Henry) since we last spoke. He'll be 2 in April and he has kept Oliver young.

Follow your heart and answer that "I want, I want, I want". There are no more "sensible" reasons. Yes, I am a bad influence.

I swear each Spring, several of us go through Puppy Fever and the year Henry came home, Tracy added Idun, another member whom you may or may not know added Izzy, another member added Stewie, and so on. We seemed to have a plethora of new pups in 2009. It's time for another "Puppy Boomer" generation.

Give in to the ache, Caramel. You have too much love to give to not have another dog. All the sensible reasons are just solvable niggles.
