My Whimsy Mini Farm! (Riverfest pics...LOTS!)

I am family friends with a lovely couple that have two Burros (to replace my favorite donkey, Mario), two little goats, a pony, ducks, and fat persian cat and a giant long haired german shepherd named kaiser!

I love donkeys. They are like giant dogs. Whenever I would pet the pony, the donkey would run up to me and nudge his way in to get some attention.

If you ever have any questions about your new brood, I can ask my friends!

So so cute!!! You are going to have so much fun when you get them home. I can't wait to see how Allie and Ice react to them. That papa is sure a good looking goat, its a shame he stinks!

I tried to figure out a way to transfer a post and photos from my niece's fb page to yours but there was no way to do it. She just got a bunch of baby chicks. It made me think of you. They just got a couple of horses a week or so ago, and are boarding a few others for a friend. She loves the farm animals too!

Linda I think you can tag yourself on a friends pic on FB and then I can see it! I often wish OH and I met first, we would have been young enough to be real farmers.

Ag I love Burros! I'm experienced with horses, donkeys are quite different. I'm quite afraid this won't be my first and only.

Kian, your first goat picture looked just like our goat "Mike".

The little one you have chosen is adorable. Scout is a good name for a goat.

Banjo Jack's father is a handsome lad. I would expect him to smell like a male goat as he is one. Farm animals generally smell like a farm. I know first hand that geese can be quite protective and vicious. Swans, although majestic and magnificent are very territorial. I've been bitten by a Goose (and not in a fun way ) and I can tell you it hurt! They have a serrated edge to their bills that acts like razor wire.

It sounds as if these ones were a bit more friendly, but still protective. That turkey was also gorgeous and I'm glad he's been forever pardoned.

OH is on the horse look out, I'm just happy with my petting zoo at the moment! Male goats smell worst than just farm smell, they pee on themselves to attract the females. When we had our farm in Cali, my SIL brought us out a male goat and we suggested that they neuter it ASAP as the smell will be overpowering. Her answer was, "if you raise it right, he won't stink" While a very friendly and loving goat, he ended up in a pen way out back. I felt sorry for him and would go back and play with him, then I needed a shower.

Im so excited for you. I thought I would share this old picture! Mario, the awesome donkey, keeps taking steps towards me as I pet him, like he just cant get enough love! I was really hoping I'd find the photo of him sticking his head between my legs and hoisting me onto his back, but it seems to be lost.

Here are pics of Ally, Banjos half sister taken a hour or so after she was born. She is a "mini me" of her mom, a Rose colored Jennet.
