I love the gnarly tree, so cool. Beautiful pictures, love the flowers there. I'm pretty sure I never went there, glad to see how beautiful it is there, so peaceful. I also love the single yellow/red bud with the brokeh, that is sharp!

I never new it existed. It's right next to Long Beach State. My Alma Mater and I never knew it was there.
It's in a gated community in Bixby Knolls. The Japanese Gardens are actually on the Campus. But I'm not sure if they were there when I went there many moons ago. But you never know.

I like that rose photo too. And I have at least ten photo of the gnarly tree. It was huge.

Kwak, those photos are gorgeous.

I think the gnarly tree is a Banyan Tree (Alina, correct me if I'm spelling that wrong or have it wrong altogether). They are quite common in Florida and have their root systems predominantly above ground, but they are also very old. They are beautiful, as are all of the flowers.

I actually recognized a few different types...woohoo. I have such a brown thumb, that I amaze myself if I can name one or two flowering plants. The different types of roses were gorgeous, as were the Iris and the Snapdragons. One of the flowering plants looked like either Foxgloves or Delphinium. I'm probably all wet with that as well. I did like the Rubrum Lily.

The Bougainvillea growing up the side of that house is spectacular!

So I signed up for a photo meetup at the San Diego Safari Park. But the orginizer had to change his plans from Sat to Sun and the other person that signed up didn't go. So It was just me on my own Photo Adventure.

This was the last weekend for the butterfly exhibit. So the first photos will be of some of the butterflies.

Kris, I really like the first elephant picture, and the baby elephant is just precious!
And the baby giraffe, lying in the dirt...so cute!

Great pics, as always!

I was thinking I'd like to frame some of them for a room in my house done in African safari motif!
I really enjoyed your pictures, Kris! Nice!
