Welsh Terrier

They're not Airedales, or Wire Fox Terriers...but Welshies! They have their own spunky personalities, and are as smart as a whip (when they want to be!)...Our little 20lb. furry friends deserve a listing of their own. Good, bad, and ugly, we wouldn't have them any other way <3

My Welsh Terrier is more petite of frame than many others, being only 16.5-17 pounds at her normal weight.
The Welsh is a very intelligent breed, who aims to please...within reason. Positive training ONLY for this breed, as negative reinforcement creates significant trust issues.
Oh, and every Welsh owner I've ever known comments on how their Welsh makes stretching into a major exercise/show/sport. It's hilarious.

Do any Welsh Terrier owners out there have any idea why my dog might give a random growl each night on her way into her crate? No snapping or anything, but I don't want it to escalate. The routine goes like this:
ME: Dahlia! It's bedtime. Crate, please!
DAHLIA: (while walking, but more often running to her crate) Grrrrrrrr...
ME: (as I close the door) G'night!
DAHLIA: grumble, grumble, grumble.
She doesn't fight going in there. She hangs out in there on her own off and on throughout the day. I don't get it. Is it a resource thing? Do you experience this?
Does anyone else have miscellaneous comments on Welshies?

I love my Welshie. Unlimited curiousity and boundless energy. Too much fun!

As far as the yoga, we swear that our pup says her name....Caaaaaruuuuuuu as she stretches in the morning.
