I am quite sure he had more energy for that around the time you were born. Better yet, ask your Mum as she probably did the lion's share of the work.

Haha great! And I KNOW she did the lions share. But I have this sneaking suspicion she wants me to fail at puppy motherhood, so she can have him all to herself!

How sweet--this whole conversation! I must agree with Deb, children are for the young! When I think waaay back to when Kiba was a baby, (all of four years ago!) I can't imagine doing it again! I didn't sleep for three months, and I am NOT exaggerating! (Well, maybe just a teeny titch, but ask anyone and they'll tell you that it's not much of one) Now that I've reached the fifth decade (gadzooks, I'm old!) I have just as much puppy fever as anyone, but my good sense screams much louder inside my head than it did six years ago. Considering I know what my Tri-coloured girl's name would be, I don't know how I have resisted her siren call (I know she's out there somewhere, although she may not be born yet) but somehow I manage to resist just the same.

*sigh* I am now officially old. I am doing things for my own good. *sigh*

But to end on a happy note: TWO MORE SLEEPS!!

Yay! I agree that youth is my asset. I am at that miracle age where I can get 2 hours of sleep and still function like a champ the next day. And I will never be as active and fit as I am today. But I'm already breaking down! At 21 I've already got a bum knee that aches when its about to rain!

Yes I remember 21, college, little sleep, cramming for finals and living life to the fullest! sigh....While I still have that in me, my body reminds me of the age quite quickly. Don't break down yet!

Phyrie maybe one day you will find that girl and the strength to do it again. I too am having to find the energy in my 5 decade to this hobby farm, why do I do this to myself....why? (because at 84 I don't want to plan my day around the same cereal, the same tv shows, take 20 minutes to use the bathroom and 2.5 hours to get ready to go out... Okay now I digress..... AG that is because my MIL is living with us for now)

Phyrie, I so hear you! Perhaps you can find a Breeder, or use the same one (Citronella...maybe not) and have the breeder keep the pup until 6 months of age. I so badly want you to have your tri girl while Kiba is still young enough to share. There's always a solution.

Ya'll are the nicest people. I some may find me weird, but I really enjoy the company of older ladies and gents! (Older by comparison to myself, not calling anyone old, I promise). I love hanging out with my mom's friends and last year I befriended a slew of moms when I signed up for two months of palates.

And Phyrie, I never mentioned this, but my best friends family just got an adooorable little tricolor Cav named Dash. He is the sweetest guy. You may soon see pictures of him with my Mason. Jessica and I decided they are going to be best friends. They don't really have a say in the matter.

I just got my buggers flight itinerary, and he arrives at the airport at 10:45 pm! And my instincts tell you that there's a fifty percent chance that I am going to be so in love I am not going to think about DP for days... and theres a fifty percent chance that I am going to be so bubbling with joy that I am going to want to rant to the world. So you'll find me on here that same night!

Ps- my mom just got a fancy camera, so there is going to be some high quality photo shoots coming to your screens in the very near future. (aka when I figure out how to use said fancy camera)

TODAY IS THE DAY.

It feels like that Christmas Eve I found the list of the presents "Santa" got me, so I just anxiously jittered with anticipation of what I knew was waiting for me under the tree.

I really don't know what to do with myself.

The puppy is here. It has been an exciting and exhausting day and a half. I just wanted to check in, but I can't write much. The boy has to go to the potty.... again. I will be back in touch with details and pictures soon!

Hello!

It has been an amazing few days. Mason is everything I could have asked for. He's adorable, smart, loving, and a total clown. The cutest surprise is his fascination with tails. Having never seen one before, he LOVES attacking Murphy's swinging golden rudder. He is in the early stages of his crate training, so he still cries all night, but yesterday we made a breakthrough. We designated one awesome chew toy that is only allowed in his crate. So he is slowly learning that good things happen in the crate too. Potty training is slow as well. He is starting to show us that he wants to go out, but there are still plenty of times that he just squats down with a big "ef you" on his face. Haha.

But he is sooo smart. He learned "sit" in a day. And now he already comes when called and recognizes his name. And he is half way to having "lay down" mastered. He is a chewer though. He is sooort of getting "leave it" but when he wants to chew, he doesn't care what you say! He is such a ham. So expressive. He uses little whines like its a language. And if you wont play with him when hes being rough, he will bark at you in defiance. This just wont stand!

Everything is wonderful. He is so cute I cant stand it.
