I know first hand that geese can be quite protective and vicious. Swans, although majestic and magnificent are very territorial. I've been bitten by a Goose (and not in a fun way

) and I can tell you it hurt! They have a serrated edge to their bills that acts like razor wire.
It sounds as if these ones were a bit more friendly, but still protective. That turkey was also gorgeous and I'm glad he's been forever pardoned.
