Hello,
Just thought I would pop in and say hi and do our introduction.
I am so glad to finally find a forum where all breeds even mixes is welcome. I have 2 older dogs, one cat and Gracie the puppy.

Gracie at 6 weeks the day we got her.

We got Gracie from my daughters friend and at the time I did not really want another animal but she was on her way to the pound lock box and we don't have no kill shelters so I told them I would take her and find her a home. Well one look into those eyes it was all over even melted my husband's heart and there was no finding another home for her. She had found her home with our pack and the rest is history.
Gracie was 6 weeks old born January 20, 2011 weighing a whole two pounds. The first week was really rough she was not sure about eating dry food or drinking water. So I would take water and put into a syringe and drop it in her month and the food well the vet kept pushing Iams which is big chucks for just a small puppy and she really did not care for it even thought I put it into the blender and this the same vet that kept telling me she was a Lab even though I had seen her parents which

the Dad is a Cocker Spaniel and Jack Russell, Mom is Dachshund and Chihuahua

but with this vet this another story. So I switch vets and food. I put her on Wellness Super5mix for Puppy now this she gobbles it up and it has little bits for her. She is now 14 weeks old and just a bundle of energy.

Loves to go camping and hiking which she is better camping then when she is at home.

She is a cutie that's for sure. Yes we welcome all dogs regardless of their breeding and yours is what I call a Heinz 57, the best of many breeds. Welcome to the forum, I'm Kian the owner of two Australian Shepherds, Allie and Ice.

While vets do see a lot of dogs, most of the time they really do not know what these mixes are. Many people, not just vets, see black and think Lab. I see no Lab, but I do see a very cute puppy.

Thank you for your welcome. Most every dog it seem like in North Carolina are black and white all my dogs are and all my Neighbors dogs are black and white. With this vet there was several odd things he did or said that made me find another. He just kept telling me she was going to have a growing spurt and will weigh 70lbs I just said ok and she is now a little over three months old and weighs about 7lbs so if she is going to have that growing spurt she better hurry up. I have popped on many forums and saw were people had a question but because their dogs was not pure bred they were just about stone to death. I felt really sorry for these people because these people of these forums could not have the respect to answer it instead pretty much told them a mixed breed just needs to be put down. That's sad because so many good dogs heading to the pound need a loving home too.

That is horrible to hear that people do things and say things like that!!! Well, you joined the right forum!!!

Your puppy Gracie is GORGEOUS!!! I loved seeing the pictures of mummy and daddy!!! CUTE!
Gracie is such a pretty name and she is a even more prettier pup!!!
What a nice mix of wonderful breeds! You will definitely love this website!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I was surprised too when I look at me email to see Gracie's face . Yes I did lurk for a little while and found you have a very nice fourm and freindly people on here.
