Welcome!! You are so delightful and refreshing, only 14? Wow, your mom certainly has done a wonderful job and of course you as well. I know several who were home schooled and they are bright and articulate just as you have portrayed. I would love to see a picture of your fox, we have them here where I live in the Southwest United States.

I just brought home a very small pygmy goat, only 6 weeks old and she goes into the crate in the shed at night as I fear the fox. I have seen it several times, quite beautiful.

I love that Kay has her tail and ears are natural, very pretty girl. I too wish it was banned in the U.S. as just last night I was telling my husband I wished that my pup Ice had his tail. My Allie is a natural so I'm okay with that.

Kay is lovely and most beautiful. Glad you explained the watermark, it is a good idea as there are so many young kids that steal pictures and make fakes as you probably have seen. It is very nice to meet such a mature young woman, glad you joined in.

Louise...I prefer my choice of clothing as I prefer my choice of dogs. Natural as is decent. 8)

Hiya Amy and Dixie! I love Rottweilers. There's one that lives in the village, and he has his tail. I've never gone to say hello to him, because he seems to have a thing with strangers. I've seen a couple of people get nipped at. No thanks. Sure; 'yer dog is pretty. So is fire. Dixie is a beautiful girl. I'm not kidding when I say, I'd be obsessed with her paws if I could touch 'em. Love the colour. Kayenne used to have very dark markings, but she's brightened up as she's aged.

Hi Kian! :) My mother was debating getting a Pygmy Goat before we had a zoo. But then we got the chickens...And the other dogs...And a bird...So, we're pending the Goat. I've seen a couple of the pictures you posted to the thread devoted to Scout/Banjo (don't mind me...Just lurking about) and that's one big baby! Good call on the night-time routine thing. A fox left my sibling a gruesome present about 10 years ago. We used to leave our Giant lop-eared rabbit, Oliver, roaming the garden. He was HUGE. He used to chase and attack our cat, and, we assumed he did the same to the fox. Well...Foxy got his own back. It wouldn't have been as bad if he'd taken Oliver with him, instead of leaving pieces of body around the garden. :| I know that Goats and Rabbits are pretty different. But a hungry fox is still a hungry fox.

As you requested, here are a few pictures of "Todd". :) He's probably a she, because he's made a den and has been filling out ALOT recently. I started feeding him about 2 months ago, when I went out to shut up the chickens for the night and saw him over the fence. I kicked a football for him, juts out of curiosity to see what he'd do. He chased it, and patted it around. Seeing as I teased him and made him think it was food, I got some bread and he took it right from my hand. So there's no confusion...Todd lives in the field behind our house. He doesn't live in the kitchen or anything. That would be illegal. I decided to keep feeding him, because he was obviously hungry. Every two days he gets some left-overs. Don't wanna be making him dependant on people.

(I apologise for the picture quality. They were blindly taken by my sibling while I was tossing some food for him.)

First night.

That fox looks much like the one lurking around here. I've seen two so far, one is quite big, the other not so much. Feel free to comment on any thread.

I have always wanted minatures and it looks like I'm on my way. On her second day here she has already bonded to me and tolerates Allies. I would say yes on the Pygmy Goat, they are delightful in everyway. Were adding chickens eventually, but not until I get a secured coop......fox proof! Would love to see your chickens.

I'll get a few pictures of some of the chick-chick-chickens later today. We have a huge 'flock' of all-sorts. Wyandots, Pekins, White Sussex, some battery hens, and a Vorwork, as well as a couple of Silkies, and a group of beebee chickies. :P I'm not sure how many chicks we have, because I wasn't involved in hatching these ones, but four were hatched naturally (under Mum-Chicken) and the others were hatched inside. We'd just gotten down to the amount of chickens we wanted, when we took in a "Silky" (Who is "not"...Probably Rhode Island Red / Silky, but no way is this guy a fuzz ball. He has feathers, instead of "fur", which is a dead give away) who we called Sid Vicious. He's terrible. But the ladies like him, so whatever. We now have two very aggressive cockerels.

Spike the Buff Pekin, who is the worst, but who we bought twice. Got him once, hated his personality, gave him back, missed him, bought him back. You can't help who you love, even if the one you love is a fluffball chicken with issues. Not all our boys are nasty, though. Vinnie the White Sussex is a very good boy. We just rehomed Little Vinnie, because he started picking on the girls. We actually had a lot of trouble sexing Little Vinnie, because he didn't have the cockerel tail, or the feet. He looked just like a hen, only he crowed...And made fertile eggs.

I'll get the pictures up by later today if I can. I'm having problems with my computer at the moment. I was uploading pictures from my camera yesterday, and was told there wasn't enough space on the disc. Alright, I'll put the pictures from my computer onto another disc, and resume upload. Well, my computer, since it blew up, doesn't take discs. So, tomorrow we're off into town for a dongle. Until then, Picasa is taking the brunt of my over-loaded-photo-files. 61% uploaded. Just another hour, and then I can delete the computer album, and rely on Picasa to keep my photo's safe, forever.

I love the look of Silkies, I have one of those on the list. What is "dongle"? I'm still learning the UK words.

"...Dongle is a small piece of hardware that connects to a laptop, desktop or server computer. The term "dongle" was originally used to refer only to software-protection dongles; however, currently "dongle" is often used to refer to any small piece of hardware that plugs into a computer..."

The dongle I'm after is used to copy pictures from the computer to the dongle, then they're always there. You just plug the dongle back in to your computer (where you put the USB of cameras), and you can access your files that way. You can have thousands of pictures stored, but all your disc space is still there.

Image

That's the general look. You have dongles to connect you to the Internet and all that. I'm not sure what the one I'm looking for is called...But mother'll know, so it's all good.

In Canada (and the US, I think) we call those "flash drives", or "thumb drives" or "jump drives". But "flash drive" is the most common usage. FYI.

Thanks Phyrie. Some people *cough* mother *cough* call them Dongles here. But, they're actually called Memory Sticks...Yeah, I'm not very computer savvy, either!

I thought I said hello but I guess I didn't.
Hello from Ashley, Monster and Remi!

Kayenne is so pretty. I don't think I have ever actually seen a Doberman in person, there's mostly just the miniatures around where I live.

We call them USB's here too. :D

Hi Ashley, Remi and Monster.

Before we got our first Dobie in '07, we'd never seena nother Doberman in the area. Then we saw a Doberman pup around the lake where I now take Kayenne. And now there are about five Dobermans lurking around the village. Here we were thinking we had an uncommon-for-the-area breed. We even see someone with a Doberman and Jack Russell - a pair we thought nobody would have thought of. It is nice seeing more of the breed, though.

Thanks for the welcome. :)
