Hello everyone,
Let me introduce you to Osito, Machito and Babam.
Osito (Teddy Bear in Spanish) was the sweetest dog ever. When my father died, we felt really sad and our lives were a mass. We decided to get a dog and later on, we thought that it would be more fair to adopt one. We were looking at shelters on the web, our mum wanted to have a small dog because we live in a flat but we saw Osito's pictures and we felt in love with him

We felt compassion for him as well: He was an adult dog, his mouth was broken and fixed with wires and he was in the shelter already for two years... What a stupidity! Our love and attention would never pay what he brought to us. Since the first day, he was our guardian, he was always around us looking for love and cuddling, he put our lives back on track. He did not know any command but he would understand when he was supposed to stop, to sit, to be quiet. We have never seen a dog (probably not even a person) with such a emotional intelligence. Our family, friends, the kids and adults wherever we went to loved him. Everyone would ask which breed he was and kids would run to give him a big hug. And now that he is not anymore with us we can only be thankful to him for helping us to go through the worst time in our lives:
Machito was our second dog. Osito found it on a park where we go for walk and my sister brought him home. He was named by the vet "Machito" (little Macho man) because he gave "the look" to the female dogs in the vet's office... The vet could not be more right about him

His nicknames are "Sombra" (shadow) and "Apendice" (Appendix) because he is always attached to us, "y tu tambien" (and you too) or "you are small" because when people would come to cuddle and compliment how cute Osito was, they would feel obliged to compliment Machito say "and you, and you, and you... too" or "and you are, you are... you are small!". Unlike Osito, Machito does not like to go for walks, does not like people or other dogs. He only likes to be close to our mother and he even learnt how to carry his bed and arrange his toys, pillow and covers for this purpose. He misses a lot Osito because he was his only dog friend:
My boyfriend and I got Babam since she was a baby. She is the first dog for my boyfriend and my third dog, although she is the only one I have raised since a puppy. Osito was very well educated and Machito was not, but somehow he learnt everything from Osito so you could say I was new to dog training. She is very smart, active and impulsive... But everyone loves her, she can put a smile on the grinchest person and she can get people to love dogs

I already posted her profile. So I will just leave here a picture of the two of us. At the time the picture was taken, she used to take a nap on daddy's lap before dinner and another nap on my lap after dinner:
About me, I always wanted to have a dog but my parents would always argue that we live in a flat and a dog is a lot of responsability. It is true, I think specially if you get them as a puppy. However, the love, the company, the understanding, the joy, the entertainment... Pay off! Please do not ever give up on them and do not ever ever ever abandon them. Dogs change our lives, at least they did change ours. Now we are more open, more trusting, more happy, we enjoy much more living and we never feel alone. Sometimes, when things are not going well at work or I am having hard time with people, I think of the Led Zeppelin's song "Since I've been loving you, I am about to loose my worried mind" and I know that when I will get home, someone whom I love and loves me a lot is waiting for me and that makes my day
