Brenda, I replanted some of the seeds you sent earlier. They never came up the first time, but they are now! I put rocks around the area in the flower bed, or marked the spots with sticks so I would know if they started growing. I see tiny new sprouts in all of the areas now after last nights rain.

I wonder if the first time I planted them it was too much rain. Can seeds drown? Or possibly rot??

I also have something new coming up out front. It almost looks like new Iris's popping out of the ground. Is that possible this late? They are about 1 - 2 inches and there are 4 of them going in a semi-circle. My mom told me iris's form a circle when they grow, sending up new shoots. I just didn't expect to see any until next year. I'll keep an eye on them!

I have about 8 little yellow peppers on the plants now  They are cute! And still VERY green.

Linda are the cardnial climbers still growing? It could have been to damp or hundreds of things I have more seeds and will have a new batch this fall. You can start most of them in a dirt tray and transplant out side so you know whats what.

My glads are starting to bloom !

Beautiful Brenda!

The cardinal climber is doing really well. They are very thick and should just about be big enough to start climbing the trellis.

The seeds I replanted are the Touch me Nots & Hybiscus. They are growing fast!

Brenda, everywhere that I put the seeds this time is full of green sprouts! I think the first time we got too much rain right after I planted them. I have a lot coming up our front. I needed them badly out there. The area gets lots of sun and I need some good hearty perennials that will come back every year. I'm done with annuals out there, and wimpy perennials!

I bought another Evening Primrose last night for out front. I need some spreading plants and I've heard that one is quite hardy. I can always pull out if needed where I don't want it if it really starts to take over.

My front flower bed is always so pretty in the spring, but when those flowers are done it looks a little blah. I'm slowly getting it to where I want it, its a work in progress!

I found a zuccini last night that was about 3 inches long already!! I did notice some blooms have zuccini and the others are on just a straight stem, no fruit. I guess those are the males  (See I learned AND retained something here!)

Cucumbers, cucumbers, cucumbers. I will have lots of them.

Brenda, I have never had fried cucumbers. Are they similar to tomatoes or zuccinni fried?

Linda I am excited to see your garden!

Looks like the Donkeys plan to get into the newly growing corn as been thwarted. I did catch her trying to get in yesterday, the new corn is just so tempting. She did tear up the deer netting which wasn't cheap to install and destroyed most of peas and a tomato.

The good news is I can and will replant more peas, I have tomato blooms and my lone Zucchini is thriving well. I do love fried Zucchini!

Fried zucchini is sooooo good!

I can't wait for you to see my garden too. Don't laugh at the little veggie garden

I took photos this evening after watering everything, but since its so late now I'll try to post them sometime this weekend.

Surprise to me! I got what I thought was a Stella Dioro lilly on clearance for $1.00 when I bought all of my flowers. I didn't expect it to do much this year because it was kind of straggly. It didn't fill out a lot, but it has blooms! Instead of the yellow though, they are a pretty shade of peach. Oh, yes, surprise to me!

Kian, your vegetables are just too tempting to those animals! I'm glad you still have time to replant.

I have to show you a couple of the pots of wave petunia's. Other colors from seed are blooming now with the one's I planted this year. I love how these drop seeds and come back up in the most surprising places :D

I planted the bright pink, and now have a white one and a light pink & white one.

Image

I planted the purple, and now have bright pink and an almost variegated purple growing too.

Brenda, while your tomatoes are already starting to look lovely, I have a feeling they aren't "cherry" tomatoes, and I have a brown thumb. 8)

I love Heirloom tomatoes, and grape tomatoes, as well as these new ones I've seen called Strawberry tomatoes. In case you can't tell, I enjoy tomatoes.

I am very impressed by your garden Brenda. There is a lot of hard work that has gone into that. I'll bet your corn will be the sweetest to be found.

Brenda, Your garden is amazing! My cherry tomatoes have been going crazy. And Kessler has been hovering around them trying to pick them off the vine...goofy boy! He's taking after his predecesor Morty.

I posted this in Chit Chat, but my Cardinal Climber has really taken off. It's almost two feet up the trellis now, it seems to grow a couple inches every day.
