Vanessa, I can imagine Waffles having an enjoyable snooze and Triscuit coming along and wrecking it...just for fun!

I also think it's amusing that Waffles thinks of Willie's tail as a toy. I know you are great doggy parents, and that Willie has the patience of a Saint. That will sort itself in due course.

Because you had the opportunity to visit with them so often prior to their arrival in their new forever home, I think you have a leg up on the situation as they already know their names. It doesn't take long for puppies to discover from where the source of food originates.

How wonderful to hear that "Daddy" is as invested in their raising as their Mummy. As we all know, that isn't always the case. Am I right ladies? It sounds like your OH is wonderful and you mentioned he will be doing most of the serious training, so as a team, I'm sure you both can handle two puppies at once, better than most.

I am enjoying your puppies so much. This is how we roll on the DP...loving each others dogs as we love our own.

I imagine once Willie has put the pups in their place, which he'll do lovingly, the three of them will have such wonderful adventures.

Those photos are great. What adorable puppies they are. I got the impression from the pics that Triscuit was the little trouble maker and Waffles, the sweet "butter wouldn't melt" one. They were both looking like angels for their photoshoot just to fool us.

Deb, I am lucky to have my OH so invested in these puppies! What a relief!!!

Yesterday....the pups were napping on the couch....curled up in my lap and i know that when they wake up they usually have to go to the bathroom. So, i took each one out at a time and for the first time....they went to do their business right away!!!! i was so happy!!! Usually they don't quite understand what is going on...but they did yesterday!!! BOTH of them. Seperately!!! I was so surprised....and happy!!! I let Waffles out first and then brought him back in. And then Triscuit....and i have to admit that i did make one mistake....after Triscuit tinkled...i was so happy that i brought him right back in...not giving him enough time to do Number 2 and so he did it in the house behind the couch. I know it was completely my fault But at least it was a big step in the right direction!!!

Nezza, I went to your profile to see if the pups have an album yet. They don't, but I did see Willie's son Lucky, what a beautiful pup he was. And your Scooter looks very similar to Triscuit.

RJM i meant to work on their album yesterday but they were an exceptional handful yesterday and i just couldn't get around to it. I will.

Yes, Triscuit does resemble Scooter...A LOT!! Yesterday i commented to my OH that i hoped Scooter was watching over these pups. Lucky was a great boy....he was Wilie's boy! Willie had the most incredible patience for him, more than i've ever seen him exhibit with any dog. He let him tug, pull, jump on him, bite his ears, tail....and he loved to teach him as well.

In puppy news, Triscuit and Waffles were in Super puppy mode! I believe they had a GREAT day!!!

Vanessa, I'm sure Scooter had something to do with Triscuit and Waffles, as I believe that those that have gone before often send us angels, as Emma has sunkissed Oliver, in his red patches. ♥ (Ironically, my horse was Chestnut, with four white socks matching and a white blaze on her face. She was like a dog in that she would come to the gate from the pasture, when called. Her name was Joy, and she was.) I am quite sure Sally had a hand in the creation or delivery of Henry, as he is mostly black, just as she was...and goofy!

According to my older brother, Sally "understood" English. Henry also seems to understand every word we say, but that doesn't mean he's obedient.

Willie is such a darling boy! It's amazing the way animals communicate with one another. Dateline did a thing on that last night, and there was such a touching story about an Elephant and a Lab who were best friends. I'll bet Willie is delighted to have these two little sprites around to keep him young.

Deb...your stories are so touching...you bring a tear to my eye. I, too, believe that our beloved animal friends come back to us in many ways. It's funny that Waffles has taken such a strong liking to Willie...as if he were Lucky. Sometimes, i watch Waffles lick Willie's face and think how much he reminds me of Lucky in the way he interacts with him. Triscuit certainly has Scooter's energy. We used to call Scooter "Brown Lightning" because he was so full of energy and he would dart around the house just like lightning. Waffles has Lucky's lazy attitude...

Anyways, i'm gonna get to making an album for Waffles and Triscuit today...as i'm off work today.

thanks for asking sorry no updates recently...i have been sick with a stomach bug....it was terrible...i'm just starting to feel better today. it's been a rough couple of days. i really haven't been able to do much of anything. my OH has been on puppy duty. they are getting big now....it's amazing how quick they grow. they have finally started to go to the bathroom as soon as they are let out!!! there have been a couple accidents, but they are getting smaller in number! i will take some pics as soon as i'm feeling back to my normal self.

Vanessa, tummy bugs are no fun at all! I do hope you are on the mend. It will take a few days to resume normal "operations", so be kind to yourself.

Your "DOH" sounds like a darling and deserving of the title. We have a HO and now a DOH. I know it's DSO, but DOH works too, and it's a compliment.

Puppies grow like weeds and I'm sure they are learning something new every day. We understand if you are unable to post, so just take care and keep us up to date when you are able.

Thanks so much, Deb. I am feeling much better today...still trying to take it easy though. Unfortunately, it seems like little Waffles has an upset tummy today!! He ate his breakfast but is not wanting to play as much as usual...so, i'm planning on giving him some boiled chicken (no seasoning) and white rice for his dinner... poor little guy. I'm thinking my "DOH" might have given them a "treat" they were not supposed to have when i was in bed all day with my own tummy issues.... I'm keepin a close eye on him today.

Triscuit is his usual BUNDLE of energy!!! Darting here and there...his switch is always on GO! GO! GO!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.

I think you might be on to something with your "DOH". I hope that Waffles feels better soon. Hopefully he'll pass whatever it is quickly and be right back to normal. Has the DOH 'fessed up to any "unauthorized snacks"?
