I was watching your video, Sadie was asleep at the other end of the couch. When she heard Saffy & Pingu bark she sat straight up, one ear up and one ear down starting at me. Oh how I wish a camera had been near! She was wondering where those barks had come from

Good job on the new tricks! I also just taught Sadie the "up" trick. She jumps in the air to my hand.
Very nice video!

I totally enjoyed the photos of Saffy and Pingu. They are both adorable! Pingu reminds me of a Disney dog

Thanks Linda!
Also Sadie's reaction sounds like something Pingu would do too, haha!

My day is now complete! :D

Pingu just makes me laugh as he is so spirited, but good natured as well. I did notice Saffy trying to crash his action with the treats and he wasn't having it.

Considering that he is still a baby, he is doing extremely well. Both Pingu and Saffy love their Mama Louise very much, and it shows.

Oliver didn't bat an eye when he heard Pingu barking and I'm not sure where Henry is at the moment. A thunderstorm is rolling in, and I just learned that he is cuddling with Ben.

Linda, it's a shame you didn't have the camera handy as I can only imagine Sadie's expression. Very cute indeed. 8)

Louise, I always look to see if you've posted a new video. Thanks for the latest installment. Pingu the Pistol is just too cute!!!

Haha, thanks Deb. :D

A little Story
Well just wanted to share a little story yesterday afternoon, on Monday. I was walking Saffy & Pingu and we were nearly home just around the corner, all of us were exhausted since we've been walking for just over 50mins and ready to settle back at home and relax. Then I saw this giant dog come out from behind some bushed from the front yard of someones house. I thought 'oh, someone else is going for a walk with their dog'. Until I saw no lead, no collar..... and no owner. I freaked because this dog was HUGE, he was a staffy... ummm.... a giant staffy. He was heading straight for Saffy & Pingu and I pulled them close to me and held my hand out like a stop sign * like the dog would know what that meant* and calmly said... "no... no... no..."
OF COURSE this dog didn't listen to me. He trotted/wobbled (he was obese and basically looked like a sumo staffy) over to Saffy & was wagging his fat short tail and Saffy & Pingu were happy... although I was scared shitless. *excuse my french*
I looked around for any people around just in case this dog did something horrible and I needed help, but no one was around.
I looked over to Saffy and she just rolled over to her back...(she does this to any dog that is bigger than her) This boy staffy was SO BIG, about x4 her size! He was crazy big! I could tell he definitely was a staffy though, maybe a bulldog mix, I'm not sure. But he seemed out of breath... (too fat). He was a happy fellow.
Finally I had a look around and I saw this little boy walk my way and said that that was his dog...
The little boy pat the dog on the back and said "Comon' Rexy." (or some name that sounded like that)
Then the dog sniffed Saffy & Pingu one more time, turned around and happily followed the little boy and wobbled away...

I was kind of in a shocked state... because as soon as I saw that dog come out from some bushes and realized that no one was around I had a flash of so many horrible possible scenarios that could have happened if he wasn't friendly...
I have too many horrible memories from my old dog Pants, who was attacked 2 times when I walked him. Each different time/place/dog. But yes, I've been VERY protective and wary of dogs and if I saw this dog up ahead, no way would I risk walking past. But LUCKILY this dog was very friendly!!! *BIG SIGH!*

Yea.. I just felt like sharing that.

*Also- I took a little break from typing this and Pingu got a little too excited and ripped my ear-ring off... it's broken but and my ear is a tad bleeding, but ALL IS GOOD!

September
*My mum's B-day is on the 9th, turning 48... I hope she doesn't mind me saying that. She tells people that she's 35... and totally gets away with it!
Saffy's on the 10th.... :P
PLUS, Miss Universe on the 12th! *I've been watching that since 2004 when I was 8, haha* I absolutely LOVE IT!
ALSO It's SPRING :!: NO MORE WINTER :!:
AND Pingu has been booked for an appointment next Thursday... He's getting desexed! :D
FINALLY, after next week we get a 2weeks school holiday and I finish my assignments, exams and essays!!! :)

*A few pictures from the other day.

Louise, I loved the picture montage. There are so many great ones in there. Yes, I noticed the tongue shots, and I also noticed Saffy and Pingu were enjoying their "Greenie" treats! :D

I'm glad your earring broke as opposed to having your entire ear lobe ripped. *ouch* Tell Pingu Auntie Deb said he must be gentle with Mummy as she is a delicate flower. I tell my dogs that all the time (and my sons).

Your Mum can so pass for 35 and good for her for saying that is her age. 8)

We are just heading into Autumn, and the sky certainly looked a bit wintery or "Fallish" today. I so don't want another long, cold, endless amounts of snow, winter. We need a relatively dry winter with temps no lower than -10C. A girl can dream. Autumn is my favourite season...sunny days, and cool nights with a nip in the air.

I'm glad that dog was friendly! I too would have been nervous.

That must have been very scary, I'm glad the dog was nice!

Saffy always looks so calm and relaxed. She must be very well behaved.
Pingu on the other hand looks a bit mischief and goofy.

Sometimes I have to look twice as Remi reminds me very much of Saffy!

I know Remi is much taller, so I'm only referring to the colouring and facial expressions. At a glance, and at my "advanced stage in life" everything takes a little longer. 8)

Both Saffy and Remi are darlings because they each have wonderful Mums!

Louise, I love that video! Pingu is doing so well for being so young! I do believe that indicates what a good doggie mum you are. :D

And, Deb, I agree with you. The first time I saw Ashley's avi with Remi, I had to look twice as I thought it was Saffy!

Louise, keep those videos coming. I so wish I could fly off to Australia to hug your pups in person, but watching your videos will have to do.

The two things that stand out between Saffy and Remi the most for me are the eyes and ears. And the color, Remi is more black.
Could you imagine if Remis ears were more like Saffy!
At times they do stand straight up or in weird positions but it only lasts a short time.

I recently measured Remi and she is 24inches tall.
How tall is Saffy?

Ashley, I too see a big difference in them, but also a lot of similarities. At a glance (remember, I'm old now  ) I sometimes have to do a double take to make sure it's Remi and not Saffy. They could be distant cousins, certainly.

They are both so sweet, and so funny. Both of them are very gentle, and put up with a smaller sidekick. 8)

Deb- Haha, thanks and yes! GREENIES! Our good friend THE GREENIE stops Saffy from having bad breath, Pingu doesn't really but we give it to him so he won't feel sad. :P Haha, 2 very funny smaller sidekicks! Monster makes me laugh so much that lil' cutie! Oh and Deb, I went to my friend's house and she owns one Pingu's siblings (Marley), my friend whom is on this thread at the beginning. Well she looks after her Auntie's Cavalier sometimes, and I happened to some over when she was there!!!!! OH MY GOD! THAT LITTLE SWEETIE-PIE!!! The first thing I noticed was how CRAZILY HUGE those glossy sad eyes were!!!!! I took a picture of Bella(the cavalier) on my phone, but sorry it's bad quality...phones, you know.

Ashley- They are both really good. Saffy & Pingu are very obedient. Although Saffy is obedient to everyone, Pingu mainly listens to me and will sometimes ignore other people's commands. Pingu is my little follower, if he is in the house it's any room I am in, but if he's outside I am forgotten, haha. Saffy though doesn't follow a specific person, she just goes around checking which rooms everyone is in and then goes on either my or my mum's bed, haha.
Haha, yes, I actually think Saffy & Remi look quite different, but the body shape and face kind of look similar. Especially that time when I saw a picture of Remi on the couch upside-down... NOW THAT reminded me of Saffy and her silly sleeping positions, haha.
Oh, and about Saffy's height, I haven't measured Saffy's height before..... but then I did just then and Saffy is 14.5inches. Haha, very big difference with American Staffys and Staffy's. :D

Margie- Awww, haha, thanks. And WILL DO! I love posting their videos! I love to share their photos with everyone! I've actually got a huge line-up of videos to post!!! And I can't believe I already have over 70 videos on Youtube! Haha, I have at least over 60videos though that I'm not putting up(bad quality or me in it!)

Here are a picture of Bella the Cavalier and Marley, Pingu's sister. I had to use my camera to take these pictures of my phone's screen to get these photos.... ahh I hate phone quality pictures with a passion! Haha.
It's AMAZING to see how nothing alike Pingu and Marley are! She TOTALLY bigger and has a Kelpie shaped body and REALLY skinny and long nozzle like a whippet! Plus her head shape and body shape are altogether COMPLETELY nothing like Pingu... same as fur texture, colour and length.... Little Pingu is the odd one out of his litter..... which is why when I first saw the 2week old pups.... I picked him! :P

"It was a day before (her) birthday,
And all through the house,
not a creature was stirring,
apart from a...Saffy..."

Not the most creative thing ever, but there you go! Happy early birthday Saffy the Staffy. I don't think I'll be able to get on tomorrow, so I'm saying it now.

HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY SAFFY!

Louise, I am grinning from ear to ear at the thought of you having a chance to meet, and cuddle a Cavalier. They are very different from both Saffy and Pingu. Their eyes become larger with excitement as you can see in Oliver's profile pictures. Sometimes, they look like they might pop right out which my Mother refers to as "bolting eyes". :D I hope you thought of Oliver and Henry when you were having that cuddle. ♥

Emma, what a sweet post regarding Saffy's birthday. I'll bet it's already her birthday now where she lives. I can't believe she's a year old already. The time has flown by, especially with the addition of our little Pingu.

♥ HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY SAFFY!!! ♥ (I was going for something similar to her Brindle colour.)

Oliver and Henry, and of course their Mum, are sending along HUGE Canadian hugs for Saffy's special day. 8)

Happy 1st Birthday Saffy!

Haha, yes Deb it is the 10th here right now... 9:33am. (15hrs infront of the Dailypuppy time in the forums)
And I thought when I looked at Bella- "OMG, no wonder why Deb LOVES her little O & H!!!"
She was very affection, a little shy at first but after 5mins was on my lap! Just the sweetest little thing, she was very calm and collect. While BIG Marley was a very excited happy puppy doing zoomies everywhere, haha.
Thanks Deb, I'll give an extra big cuddle to her from you and the family. :)

Awww! Thanks Emma! Haha, I'll tell that to Saffy and say that's from you and your gang! :P

Saffy had an early morning by waking up early and playing with Pingu in the yard for over an hours, I just had to wipe her feet or else our whole house will have red paw-prints everywhere (real red Aussie Dirt = HORRIBLE STAINS), they both ran to my mum's room to say morning to my mum and Bill and now laying under the blankets, haha. Little nap time!
