With Winter on the approach it was time to get serious about getting Scout a buddy to cuddle with on those cold evenings. I searched high and low and found a breeder just a few miles away, they had a clearance goat! I wasn't sure about her since she looks so much like Scout. She is a purebred Nigerian, Scout is a Nigerian/Pygmy mix. Without further adieu, meet Willow.

She might look like her mom, she has light banding.

I introduced them in another kennel, Scout was quite jealous of her. I didn't know Goats were like that.

The Donkeys came over to meet her.

Deb just for you!

You can see her white banding, her red should come in darker. Scout wasn't liking her near me, she wanted my attention and would butt Willow away. Sounds like a dog!

Kian, Willow is just precious! I loved the pictures of Willow and Scout and Banjo and you! :D

I also loved the cute tongue shot. Who couldn't love that sweet face?! 8)

Scout is accustomed to having Dr. Doolittle, aka Mum, all to herself. I'm sure it won't take long for the two of them to become best buddies. They really are adorable.

Kian, those photos are so adorable!! What a cutie little Willow is.

And does that mean there will be 2 Willows when RJM gets her goats in the spring??

Good memory Margie! Mine are going to be named Willow and Gem.
Kian, I guess we'll have to call them Willow I and Willow II

Willow is precious, she and Scout will be BFF's in no time.
I love the coloring of her daddy, is he a Caramel or a Tri-Color? I think I see a tiny patch of white on his back.

I thought "Willow" sounded familiar, and then assumed I was confused, as normal. :D

Baby goats are just so adorable! 8)

Oh my I didn't realize that RJM had named hers Willow....I have a bad memory!! I was trying to remember what the names were and I really didn't think Willow was one...I'm bad. :| Just shows that GMTA!! I was toying between Aspen and Willow, OH liked Willow better though he thought I should just call her Goat.

I'm not sure what the coloring of the daddy is called. He does look more Caramel. I did send the breeder the homecoming pics and asked her what she thought Scout was. She agreed a Pygmy/Nigerian mix.

I spent 2 hours with her this morning while Scout was tethered. She has warmed up to me quicker than Scout which makes sense. The breeder spends times socializing them whereas Scout didn't get any. That's why this time I choose a good breeder and Willow was the last of her babies for the year. She was Clearance goat, OH said I should have named her Marley!

LOL  I can't post what the HO wanted to name ours.

Kian. Willow is a PERFECT goat name, I'm sure ours aren't the only ones!
I'm hoping mine will be socialized when I get them. The breeder told me her kids (the human ones) used to spend alot of time with the babies, to get them socialized. But now that they've gotten older, they're not as interested in playing with the goats...which is unimaginable to me! Who can resist a baby goat?
A "clearance" goat...LOL!

RJM, would you please send that to me via PM?  :D

I am loving all of the baby goat pictures. The little ones are SO sweet. Goats and Donkeys are two of my favourite things.

I can understand how the "glow" has worn off for the children, especially if they are teens. I'm sure your Goats will still be quite socialized.

Imagine the head count the HO will have to do next year coming out of the Pole Barn!  8)

Spring will be exciting next year.

Knowing the HO, I have quite the imagination of what he might call them. :? RMJ are they close enough where you can spend time with them?
