I just wanted to check in and show off Mason, who is now 8 months old!

wow....look how much he's grown!! I was looking back at his puppy pictures and this current one....they grow so fast!!! He is such a beautiful boy!!! hugs and kisses!!!

He really has become a big boy! I have a few more "missing link" pictures in his album, but I do admit I took a bit of a photo hiatus during his awkward phase. I didn't mean to, and now I wish I had some more photos of his gangly, thin furred, giant eared self! Its so strange. It was just a few months ago that everyone asked how old my puppy was, and now they ask how old my dog is and are surprised that he is only 8 1/2 months!

It's a shock how fast they grow isn't it? The realisation that Monty will be 3 in little over a month hit me recently.....

I just looked through your puppys' albums and they are gorgeous! I admit I have a little bit of tail envy for Monty. So awesome. They grow up so fast! I think I now understand when my mom gets all teary and reminiscent about how fast her kids have grown up. I guess the upside of puppies are that they never run off to college or move away! I miss his tiny bundle of love, but I can't say I miss the pee stains and puppy bites.

Wow, Mason has really matured in the past few months! He is as gorgeous as ever. I took the time to "stroll" through this thread from the beginning, and he is really such a lovely fellow. ♥

I am one of "those Mums" who becomes misty watching her children grow, and yes it is the same with our pups! My "baby" starts College in January, and I drove him there yesterday for his initial meeting. Watching him walk on Campus and through the Main Doors left me quite misty indeed, but I am a bit of sap anyway.

Mason's coat is just gorgeous, and he's still a puppy really. He hasn't hit the one year mark. Today's Puppy of the Day is now 1 and a half, but all the pictures shown are of him as a puppy. If I hadn't re-read this entire thread, I wouldn't have thought to mention that, but there really is no rhyme or reason to the way these pups are chosen to be featured.

Henry was featured as a "Grown Up Puppy" when he was barely six months old, and although I submitted tons of photos, the ones used weren't my favourites necessarily. I've never known a dog to be both the Puppy of the Day, and featured again later as a Grown Up Puppy of the Day. It really doesn't matter as long as our pups (grown or not) are celebrated. I think it's high time the DP featured at least one or two Deerhounds, who live in England.

Keep the photos and stories of Mason coming as we are all enjoying him! He is such a handsome boy.
