Autumn loves him , Lucky not so much but he's decided if he stays off his bed and away from Mom he can stay or he'll at least ignore him .

He looks like he's right at home Brenda! I love the photo of him standing at the doggie door.

I really enjoyed the video's. Autumn is truly smitten, in the first one she looks like she looked at you and said "thank you mom!!"

Brenda, I am amused at how, for once, Lucky seems to have managed to insert himself in nearly all of the pictures. I think he is making quite sure, this adorable, cute, young, whipper-snapper knows exactly who's Boss! :D

Autumn does look delighted to have a younger brother, as Linda mentioned. 8)

Luke is so beautiful. I love his markings, being nearly all black and white, with such a sweet, brown face. He's just beautiful! I also noticed tails held very high by both Luke and Lucky (try typing that 3 times! ) with all of the scents in the air. Depending on the prey, this is Hunting Season! 8)

Seeing the joy on all of your dogs' faces speaks volumes about their loving home! I am still chuckling over Lucky and his 'tude. I'm sure Luke will quickly learn to respect Lucky, and Autumn is just plain happy to have someone with whom she can run and play, sweet girl!

I'm very happy for you. ♥

I loved the videos as well! :D

Welcome home Luke!! This is such a delight to read and see the pictures. He is feeling right at home, what a great place to be a dog. Love the videos, in the first one I saw the moving specks in the distance, wow they are fast!

Thanks everyone . i love my bunch couldn't make it without them.

Luke has only spent one night at home since he's been camping with Dad. While OH is in tree stand he has been laying in his bed guarding the camper , its funny to see. He love tracking the deer after they are shot . sorry if this seems mean to some but it keeps us in meat. Here are a few picture at the camp.

Helping dad LOL!

Brenda, I love those photos! It seems as if Luke and the OH have already bonded well. :D

I don't think Hunting is cruel at all. You use that meat and it feeds your family. There is nothing wrong with that, and something to be admired. It is considered one of the sports of Gentlemen, as it serves a purpose. A man has to provide for his family.

I'm glad Luke is working out so well. He makes me think of Gabe, only he's much smaller. I love his brown face while the rest of him seems predominantly black and white. I noticed he is wearing a safe orange collar, and has a lovely, comfy bed. For a Hound, he is living the best life, and one that he will love, and be happy doing. What a lucky fellow he is to have ended up with your family as his safe, loving, forever home. :)

Can you imagine Oliver or Henry trying to Hunt?! Henry maybe a little, but Oliver is so oblivious.

Best wishes to you and your OH for a very successful season.

Brenda, Luke is certainly a very clever Hound indeed, and an asset to your family. I'm sure your OH is enjoying his new little hunting buddy, and that they are bonding tremendously by spending so much time together. :D

I was wondering who took the pictures. Were you out there with them?

Good job, Luke! He's really taken to his new duties, hasn't he? I've never hunted, but I know dogs are invaluable in the field. I think Kiba could track just fine. It would be recall that he would have trouble with!

There is nothing wrong with hunting, to eat. Hunting the largest animal in the forest so you can hang it's head on your wall is wrong. And I'll tell you about it, at length.

Phyrie you noticed it was a doe right? We all like deer meat and my dogs LOVE it . Still trying to figure out how to send you some.

Luke does love finding the deer. My sons GF took the pictures I drove them to the stop I really wished my legs would let me go I so enjoyed it .

Luke is a goood hunting buddy then at night while were watching tv he lays on the bed but goes to his crate usually to sleep. Can't believe someone would crate train him and he learns so quick . Must have been some really stupid people oh well theirloss my gain LOL!
